How does this impact the options of Wade and Bosh? LeBron would seemingly stay at this point if the deal goes through.

I don't want to see Norris Cole go.

honestly we got shabazz and would rather have a decent big than lowry.

Trade up for a point guard, followed by a trade for a point guard.

Why didn't they use the pick for a position of need if they were getting Lowry, you know, like a big man

Wtf, they need a big man

Damn, after Lowry's amazing season, id hate to see him be used as nothing more than a spot up shooter. If this signing does indeed happen, i hope lebron and co. decide to let lowry run the offense (at least 50% of the time)

06-27-2014, 06:55 PM
Total BS. Not happening. Miami is basically fulfilling LeBron's "wish list". He wants a good big and a good 3&D guy off the bench.

Chalmers is definitely gone though. Cole is gonna be starting next season.

I don't mind this at all. Lowry is a terrific defender and would be a matchup problem against every single point guard in the league.

Don Riley has a plan set up and I'm positive he knows what he's doing.

Possible lineup:

Lowry
Wade
LeBron
Bosh
Okafor or Gortat?

Bench: Napier, Allen, Andersen.

I want Ariza and Gortat and also Lowry. Would that be possible?

Ugh my bad, didn't see this thread.

I will have to see it to believe it. It's one thing if Bucher sends a tweet about this...but dude has to be so confident to write an article.

Anyway, FA hasn't even opened yet and Lowry is a FA...

Can't pay for them unless Wade AND Bosh take a ~$15M-$20M pay cut. Per year. Arison is too much of a cheap ass to over way over the cap.

Really don't understand the idea of Toronto helping the Heat... If Lowry comes to you and says he wants to go to Miami let him walk and take less money there. Don't do a sign and trade.

FWIW: disparate opinions among gms, agents, league HQ officials today about where LeBron is going, but consensus on 1 thing: it's not Mia.

Lowry is the last thing Miami needs to waste its cap money on right now, especially after they successfully got Napier.

Napier? He might not even pan out to be a good pick. Good shooter, but he's small and not too athletic.

Bucher is an embarrassment. He went from regular TV spots with espn to the sideline interviewer at Warriors games. Won't be long before another demotion.

I hope his multiple sources asshat buddy from ESPN joins him on the scrapheap... In case that's not obvious to all, I'm talking about Chris Broussard.

Legends66NBA7

Adding to the point, doesn't this go against the new CBA rules? Miami Heat (or any other club) cannot talk to any FA until July 1st ?

If it was a one time thing I could give him a pass. But this is a regular occurrence with Bucher and frankly I'm sick of the likes of him and Broussard getting screen time when they are nothing more than a fraud..

For a journalist to have any worth in the modern media landscape they need to fall into at least one of these categories:

1. Have genuine inside sources and very rarely release baseless speculation... Woj sits on that throne
2. Be a beat writer who follows a team closely and puts out regular content
3. Be a features writer who puts out well researched, thought provoking content. Grantlands Zach Lowe owns this space at the minute
4. Be a modern day blogger. Not someone who sits in their bedroom putting out regular content but making little or no money from the endeavor. Guys who are part of some major blog network who usually are very familiar with advanced stats etc. They make a living from covering the sport.

You then have wastes of space like Broussard and Bucher. What they do is throw as much shit at the wall as possible in the hope something sticks. If something does stick, they sing from the rooftops about how great they are. I despise this group of people in the media. The whole thing about those two frauds is that air of smugness that they give off in anything that they do.
