Both great players but as far as playoffs go who's had the more disappointing career

Dominique wilkins
9 x allstar
7 x allnba
league leader in scoring

never got past second round in his 15 year career

Steve nash
8 x allstar
7 x allnba
2 x mvp
League leader in assists x 5

Nash is still playing but in his 18 year career has never made the finals despite playing on some very good teams

Nique cuz he never went to conference finals just like CP3.

Nash had much better help his career more disappointing. Dirk Amare Marion Finley just a few of his teammates. Kevin Willis Doc Rivers Grant Long old Moses Malone just a few of Niques.

Nique suffered an injury right?

Achilles at the end if his career not with the hawks.

Nash was never expected to be this good.

He's got as many MVPs as Kobe and Shaq combined, has led the league in assists five times, has so many 50/40/90 seasons I lost count, and contrary to what seems to be implied here, has not only led his teams deep in the playoffs in a stacked west (3 conference Finals appearances) but also consistently raised his game on the biggest stage, as evidenced by a 15 game run averaging 24 and 12 on 60 TS%, and a 20 game run of 20 and 10 on 61 TS% in back to back years, facing Kobe, Duncan and Dirk led teams along the way...

Hold on a second. Those Hawk teams were good teams. Doc was really good and Willis was really good. When Moses got there her was still a 20/10 player. I'm not sure if you saw those teams play but those dudes were not bums. I used to watch all their games because at the time TBS was still like a local Atlanta station but it was on cable nationwide and they showed all the Hawks games. There were not bad teams and Malone was especially productive before Willis got there.

Steve Nash won an NBA title in 2007 in my mind.

Achilles at the end if his career not with the hawks. Not to be a stickler, but I thought he blew that achilles out in '92, while he was in Atlanta. Still, he was in his early 30's by then, so it's not like he blew it out at age 24.

I think both careers were amazing and 99% of pro basketball payers all time would trade for it.

Two of the best to ever play the game.

Nash has an overrated career if that makes sense. Those two MVPs were so laughable. If any point guard deserved MVPs in the past 15 years or so is Jason Kidd in 2002. Nash was on a team that he couldn't lead to the finals, he has abysmal defense, can only shoot and pass. John Stockton was x2 the player he was and never won MVPs.

I think I'll go with Nash, even though he had a more successful career I really thought those suns teams were gonna win a title (maybe should've in 07), while Nique was losing to the Bad Boys and the Celtics. Both had great careers though, can't take anything away from them.

Yeah, and he still put up 30 a night the next season :applause:

Nah, you're probably right but he then went on to play with the clips and maybe boston after that before heading to Europe and eventually returning to the NBA. I'm old, I can't remember everything off the top of my head. But no, it was not in his prime. He still came back from it and scored a ton.

can only shoot and pass
Said of a player who's one of the greatest passers and shooters of all time.

Being good enough at just one of those two aspects can be enough to completely transform the game... being elite at both from the point guard position is a recipe for winning.

neither career was disappointing, Nash exceeded his expectations pre draft by a greater margin than nique

Nash won MVPs in years where there really was not a clear cut candidate. Everyone was flawed. Lakers didnt win enough games.

I don't know, man. The Suns were quite awful and dysfunctional whenever Nash was sitting out, and this was a team that had prime Marion and prime Stoudemire.

Neither.

Both had great careers.

Neither player is an alpha, but that's okay. They had great careers for betas.

Explain to me about Jason Kidd in 2002 then? The team was the worst in the league before he came and he lead them to two straight finals

Look at where Nash was drafted, his inital roll on his team, and how hard he pushed to become the player we'll remember him as.

Nash's career is the exact opposite of dissapointing

Nash is the most overrated "star" player in NBA history
