So it's agreed that Shaq 2000-2002 >>>>> Lebron 2012-2014?

No player in NBA history was more dominant that 2000-2002 Shaq.
Not Lebron. Not Jordan. Not Kobe.
Nobody.

Better question would be 00-02 Shaq or 91-93 Jordan. I still think most people would pick Shaq

Easily LeBron
error #1 : used the word "easily"
error #2 : correct answer is "shaq"
error #3 : combination of "easily lebron" is just so wrong in this context.

Jordan was the greatest playoff and Finals performer of all time - the stats confirm this pretty definitively.
Most of Shaq's dominance and gaudy numbers came in the Finals against some of the weakest Finals opponents of all time.
Jordan's 1991-1993 Finals stats were just as good and against far better teams.. and his overall playoff stats easily beat Shaq's.

Its LeBron, and here is 100% non-debatable proof
Player Efficiency Rating
Average PER from 2012-2014 for LeBron
30.64
Average PER from 2000-2002 for Shaq
30.18
So LeBron was the slightly better overall player. While this may be surprising, keep in mind LeBron gets better assists, shoots better from FTs, and is a better scorer. LeBron was also a better defender during that time period.

I picked Shaq. Shaq was just a more dominant player than LeBron.

Btw, I don't believe Lebron was a dominant player in 2013 or 2014.
In 2013, he only averaged 25 PPG on 45% in the Finals - this wouldn't be a problem if the series was already decided and foregone conclusion, but his team really needed him - and instead of dominating convincingly, he BARELY got through by the skin of his teeth.
Then we saw what he did in 2014 - his team got destroyed so he didn't dominate anything.
Btw, none of this should be controversial.. it's impossible to "dominate" by only taking 17 shots per game.. Here are the facts: Lebron beat an inexperienced team in 2012 (where he actually WAS somewhat dominant).. then he barely escapes in 2013 where his 25 PPG on 45% was hardly dominant.. of course, in 2014 he played it safe and didn't dominate shit.
So I don't think he was dominant in 2013 and 2014.. His only dominant year where he won it all was 2012... and that year was shortened - maybe he cramps up and/or something else happens if it was a full season.

Lebron is my favorite player in the league right now.
The answer is Shaq.

No, its not a better question....
Shaq 2000-2002 is the most dominant / unstoppable player i have ever seen.....
As good as Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Bird were... they were perimeter players, lots of jumpshots, handling, driving etc... even if there was nothing you could do about them they would still have off nights, many off nights, you could make it very hard for them with team defense many times..... but for Shaq, there was absolutely nothing you could do as a team.... and he did one thing only, ragdoll babies in the post, thats what everybody felt like for Shaq.... those guys couldnt GUARANTEED have their way against opp. defense like Shaq could.... nobody ive seen could, not as well as Shaq....
You were either letting him back you down all the way under the hoop where he would tare down the rim on your nostrils, this was a 100% GUARANTEED outcome if you didnt send any help... once he is under/around the rim from complete standstill he would smash it and he would take you with him upstairs, he could crush your hand inside the basket... and hence you would attempt to Hack-A-Shaq him test his luck at the FT line shooting millions FTs in a game..... or you would crowd him up and leave all his teammates wideopen.....
It was like this every single damn game in especially 2000....
Its not about skill.... its about being one unfairly physical freak of nature.... its no different than being 50 feet. tall and hever never played basketball in your life... just stand somewhere on the court and drop the ball on the hoop over and over averaging 300 ppg on 100% FG... zero skill sure, but you are the most unstoppable force ever.... Not saying Shaq had zero skill, he had a bit of stuff, but you get the analogy i hope...
