View Full Version : Why do people keep acting like Kobe is done as a star player?

One thing I've been hearing in the media and from fans is this notion that Kobe is somehow done so why would any FAs want to come to LA.

Maybe the Lakers were so bad and no one watched the games but this is Kobe's 6th and final game last season

Did Wade even look that good in any Finals game? Serious question

He was just starting to get back to form before he got hurt and the only problems were turnovers due to his timing IMO. He was also playing PG cos we had no healthy players at that position.

If he stays healthy, I have no doubt he will average over 20ppg (I'm assuming his minutes will be in the 30mpg range)

I have no doubt Kobe will overcome this.Father time telling Kobe no means absolutely nothing to him. Just like the woman he raped in Colorado who told him no.

Because he wasn't a star player before he got injured and that's certainly not going to help him get better.

An Achilles rupture is an absolute death sentence for an NBA player. Especially for one with as much mileage as him.

Last time Kobe was healthy he put up 27/6/6 on 57% TS for the season and was all nba first team

"Not a star"

Gotta love how these Kobe stans have deluded themselves into thinking their hero will never get old. :oldlol: Father time catches everyone, even your precious godbe. Just like Wade he will still have occasional good games, but his days of dominating on a nightly basis are long over with.

Because they're beta.

Kobe returned after months on the sidelining without the ability to work on any basketball activity yet. His timing was off. That's what I noticed the most.

The difference between then and now, is that he'll have months of conditioning and basketball activity when he shows up to training camp. He turns 36 and with the injuries do not expect flashy dunks and acrobatic moves anymore, but he is so fundamentally sound and in great shape to be able to put up 25/5/5.
