"D-Wade is getting that Kobe deal,"

-Lebron, December 2013

He doesn't deserve me more then 9-10 million a year. He turns 33 next season. And has missed 41 games the last 2 seasons.

I'd say 3 years 30 million. Team option last season.

$10M - $13M is what I want him to make.

When players like Iso Joe and Amar'e are making north of $20M, Wade deserves that much as well. Heck, Pau made $40M th last two seasons.

Then Wade should play for a shitty team then that will pay him. He can't have both. On a contender he's a 10 million guy. He won't ever play an 82 game season again. His market value is really 8 to 10 million.

$10-$12 mill max I would've thought. Given his injury and need to be rested through the year, plus taking into account his gradual decline.

I think he's worth really about 10-12mil. Still has that ability to take over a game, but obviously the injuries are holding him back and going to limit his play time. I think realistically though with what he has done for the franchise he'll get paid 15mil next season still.

You asked what his worth is. He's worth $15M+. On any team.

He'll most likely make ~$15M as well. probably sign a 4 year $60M deal or something like that.

No he's not. He's missed 41 games last 2 years. His knees are shot. His game doesn't match what he's capable of doing anymore. Did you not watch the Finals?

If I were Pay Riley I get him to take 10 million and that's being generous. He'll probably get 15 million, but that's just to keep Lebron happy.

LeBron probably wants Wade to make less. Not more.

His knees had nothing to do with the Finals. He just played like shit. Did you not watch the ECF?

His knees had everything to do with the Finals. That's why he wasn't effective. You do realize the Indiana series tired him out for the Finals. That's why he took games off during the season.

Why do I have to educate Heat fans on their own team. :coleman:

LeBron (not Heat) fans seem to be doing everything possible to downplay the rest of the guys on the team and make LeBron look better.

Now Wade is a role player only worth a good journeyman salary?

dude is still a star and deserving of a star salary, as he would get on any other team in the league.

Same as Bosh.

Just because they seem to be willing to take less, doesn't mean they deserve less. Their market value is still high.

LeBron is fortunate to have two players of their quality willing to take less to help win championships, and so are Heat fans.

If Miami sign him to 4 years at that money

Dude's knee will be mechanical in 4 years.

3 years and 25-30 million.

That's an average of about 8-10 million a year.

Wade has like 2 good years left in him so I'd say like 10-15m per. But he needs to play all the games, if they're at reduced minutes fine, but he needs to play instead of ruining the chemistry

Same here. Wade is still a great player,, but he missed plenty of games in the last 2 years.

You saying he's worth 15+ mil means you are under 17. Truthfully, are you under 17?

The only Heat/Lebron fan in here that posted has said he should get the most money. It's actually the others who have said that of Wade's capabilities. Stop trying to write your own version of events f*ckface.

If he's only able to play 50 games a season in order to be relatively healthy come playoff time, then I'd say 8-10M a year is more than fair. Especially considering the fact that his decline indicates he's only a borderline AS quality player at this point in his career.

I'd pay Wade 7-9 Million, he's not worth anymore then that.

Why would he opt out of 2 years/42 to take less than that over 3 or 4 years? :facepalm Players don't opt out to get paid less.

BlazerRed
06-29-2014, 05:39 AM
Maybe he opted out because he knows after next year and his injuries he wouldn't be worth shit. Opting out now he probably feels he can still get a 3/4 year contract? Would be better in the long run for him.

unless he get 5/75 or 4/60 it just isn't worth it. People in here expect him to take 3/30

There's no way in hell he goes from being paid 20mil to 10mil. I can see a 4/60 as a respect to Wade for what he's done and so he can retire there.

I can see this too. Not because I think he's worth it but because I think it's realistic given what he's done for the franchise. Takes a paycut but still get a good payday and can retire in a Heat jersey.

I'm a huge Wade fan but I gotta be real. 10 million is about as much as I'd want to pay him. If he performs it's good pay. For the performance he can give now he's not worth star money.

No he's not. He has no consistent jumpshot or a 3pt shot. He relies on athleticism to slash to get to the rim for an "and 1" His athleticism is almost gone.

He can't be relied upon to suit up from game to game let alone perform at a high level.

This. Without that kind of promise he never would have opted out.
