He opted out, but what are the chances that Miami just tell him they aren't interested?

He's turned down bigger offers before to stay in Miami, so it would be kind of a scumbag thing to do.

Do you think the Heat will 100% re-sign him or is it possible that they leave him hanging?

0%. Pat Riley has declined several great offers for Haslem implying there is still loyalty there.

Hope your right. I'd like to keep UD.

I hope I am too. Give him a two year deal matching his current opt in and let him retire.

They retired Jordan's jersey and he didn't even play there, so I think the guy who played there his entire career and won 3 rings will get his jersey retired.

Riley has 0 loyalty. He'll tell him to take min or walk.

If it does happen, he should retire. Doesn't have anything left to prove or play for.

It's not like anyone else would give him more than the minimum. The only thing he's good for these days is talking shit from the bench.

Miami is loyal to guys that have been around for years and contributed. They will treat Haslem and Wade just fine.

Objectively, Haslem is the most irrational financial case I've ever heard of. Taking a $20 million contract over the $34 Denver offered? There's a difference between role players taking a huge cut and stars who might make $115 on $130. And now passing up a guaranteed $5 million to do it again.

I understand out of loyalty but the dude can't play anymore. It's over for him.

That's what I would do as a GM the guy isn't worth anything more than a min.
