Chris Webber.

Had it not been for a few things, he would be ranked up with the likes of Dirk, KG, Duncan, Barkley, Malone.

Walton and Sabonis would have had the best careers.

Maurice Stokes - NBA rookie of the year. For the three years he played, he racked up the most rebounds, with Bob Petit second, and was second in assists to Cousy. He hit his head on the floor after being fouled driving to the hoop. Stokes suffered a brain injury resulting in being paralyzed, and an early death in 1970.

His team, the Royals, drafted Oscar Robertson two seasons later as a territorial pick.

I'm guessing that means they would have been teammates, with Stokes entering his prime.

to me Sabonis sticks out the most. He would have been a really good center if he came over in his prime.

Sampson was an "underachiever" even before injuries. To be fair to him, the expectations were unrealistic anyway. He was not going to be this superior version of Wilt. A HOFer perhaps, but not one of the greatest centers of all time.

Bill Walton and it's not even close with anyone else. Best NCAA player yesterday, today and tomorrow, and would have been next to Kareem, the most dominant center of his era in NBA.

Chris Webber.

Had it not been for a few things, he would be ranked up with the likes of Dirk, KG, Duncan, Barkley, Malone.

Had it not been for the NBA rigging in favour of Los Angeles in 2002, he'd definitely get much more respect than he does now.

Mitch Kupchak if he hadn't blown up his knee

McAdoo had a relatively long career, but after a knee injury in his fifth season, he was never again the dominant player he had been in his first four years. He was the league's best player from '74 thru '76 (he finished 2nd, 1st, and 2nd in the MVP voting, but was robbed of the MVP by KAJ in '76.) In those three years he ran away with the scoring titles, 30.6 ppg, 34.5 ppg, and 31.1 ppg, and was just as brilliant in the post-season (31.7 ppg, 37.4 ppg, and 28.0 ppg.) And keep in mind that in his '75 season, when he averaged 34.5 ppg, the league only averaged 102.6 ppg, or just slightly more than last year (101.0 ppg.)

BTW, he also had a 45 point game againt Kareem, which included making 17 straight shots (and this was in a game when he past his prime.)

In the '82 Finals, he was just as productive as Kareem was, but in considerably less minutes.

He was Kevin Durant, except better at rebounding, long before KD was.

Antonio McDyess.

Upcoming young PF, at least as good as Griffin was last season (not quite the dunker, but overall). Injuries screwed him horribly.

Was able to come back in the end a la Grant Hill, but I think he could have been a consistent top 10 player in the league.

Literally just make a Blazer themed roster and that's probably it.

Bill Walton - had potential to be the most center EVER. A Blazers dynasty was on the way through 78', 79', etc
Arvydas Sabonis - many claim that he would take the NBA by storm if he had come overseas younger and healthy. Damn Soviets.
Greg Oden - We all know. He was likely to become an extremely dominant center.
Brandon Roy - Along with Oden, Roy was destined to be leading the charge in the next new team that included LaMarcus Aldridge. I don't Roy would have become anything like Walton, but I believe would've made at least a few All NBA First Teams.
