Club scene in new york city and urban things to do?

Hey im headin over to nyc soon from new zealand. Just wondering what clubs are the best to hit up and chances of seein some rappers and nba players im into that scene, also wheres the best places to shop can you just rock up to rucker park and places like that and hoop? What are some of the things to do and go in that scene??

Ill be there over the all star break but tickets are way too overpriced how bullshit are the prices for that!!! So can anyone say what the 40 40 jayz club is like be real good watchin the all star break there ?

Then hit up Zabar's or Barney Greenglass for some knoshes

Next day, start at Russ and Daughters for lox and a schmear, then the Tenement Museum and finish with the pastrami at Katz's.
