What would be better? Pau is 32, Gortat is 30.

30 and 32 isn't even much of a age gap. I'd take Gasol

It is in NBA years. That's a difference of AT LEAST 164 more games played and wear and tear.

How'd you get a 2 year age gap when Gasol was born in '80 and Gortat was born in '84?

Fukkin lyin ass Connor.

Pau turns 34 this July.

Pau is gonna be 34 in just over a week, we're talking a 4 year age gap, not 2. No team in their right mind should give 34 year old Pau a 16.7 mil/per contract.

I don't like the Gortat contract either, but I'll take it. 12 mil/per for Gortat will be worth it for about 2-3 years and shitty for just the last 2 years, whereas the Gasol contract is awful from the start.

Did Shannon Brown, have an affair with Gasol wife? Sorry just heard from comments from when Bynum left the Cavs. Supposedly he was joking abut it. Gasol found out during playoff as Lakers were attempting 3peat. And supposedly Bynum had an affair with one of the assistant coaches wife.. Rumors or wut ever. Just heard talk about it on ESPN, end of last year. I never looked into it.

Anyway I sign gasol with a one year deal. or make second year team option. Imo

Gortat for 30M/ 3 years seems right. 12/10/8

Gortat is a better deal right now buts theres something to be said for winning intangibles in Pau who led the Lakers to back to back titles

Never sign anyone over thirty to a contract over 3 years. I'd take neither at that price.

8 what?

Lol he's talking about the payscale, not stats

year 1 12 mil
year 2 10 mil
year 3 8 mil

12/10/8 would be a kinda weird statline, like Stockton with GOAT guard rebounding ability

GorTWAT doesn't have Pau's intangibles. Pau's a bargain at any price.

gortec is very under rated.

Dude is very strong and has a low post game , and boards man.
His passing is under rated as well.

Wish the Bucks would get him , but I think he goes to the Heat.

:biggums:

How on earth do the Heat sign him? He's going to get 4yrs/$36+mil

The idea that Bosh and Gasol can't play together is ludicrous, but it's also not exactly optimal either. I'd be looking elsewhere if I was the Heat.

Their problem is that the market for quality centers is incredibly slim this off season.

It also makes me laugh when people say stuff like 'how can the Heat get him, he's going to get x amount elsewhere'. History has proved the Heat to be one of the luckiest franchises in NBA history. I would be surprised if everything doesn't fall into their lap perfectly this off season.
