In one month I'll be celebrating my 10 year anniversary in St.Lucia

St. Lucia, at least when we went, was the murder capital of the World, because it's a key location for drug and gun smuggling from South America to the U.S., and the local gangs are constantly fighting over control of the island.

We're staying in the resort area. I'm pretty sure it's secure.
Reason we want to go is because we saw an episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous when we first started dating and I promised to take her there one day. Then when we got married she was already 6 months pregnant so we couldn't travel. Almost 20 years later we finally have the opportunity

Our problem is being Filipino we have so much family that we're constantly having to travel for weddings, christenings, debuts (female 18th birthdays), regular birthdays, anniversaries...that we haven't planned an actual vacation.

Check out Bulgaria...specifically the black sea coast. Sofia, the capital, is nice as well. Just got back and thought it was amazing. Not many tourists and relatively undiscovered. Good food and cheap as hell.

Roughly $1-1.50 half liter beers of decent quality. Not many things better than laying out and drinking a beer on a beach in a town from the 800s. Literally felt like I was in a LOTR movie or a Game of Thrones episode.

Spent like $1100 over two weeks there which included accomodations, drink and food. Stayed in a hostel for 8 nights though so it's a bit skewed but you get my point. Cheap, beautiful, secluded and you'll feel like the only american there which is better than places filled with tourists. (Like London and probably Greece.) Eastern european/bulgarian women are the most beautiful women in the world. I never really had a "type" in terms of looks for a female but bulgarian/mediterranean/eastern european is it.

I feel like going to places like St. Lucia and other resort island in the Caribbean is just too easy. Step out of your boundary a little bit.

That's awesome, I'll definitely look into that. I agree with what you're saying about stepping out of your comfort zone a little. Being a little adventurous is fun and also makes for more interesting stories.

Yeah we did that for our first anniversary in Tulum. It was a rather boring vacation for me since my last two were Scotland/London and Italy, but as you say, it wasn't about having an adventure. My wife loved it, and that counts for a lot.

Protip: tip well, even if they say tips are covered. I followed this policy in Tulum and I got incredible service.

don't listen to this guy, feel free to venture out of the resort. i've been there 4 times for a total of stay there for over 2 months. im white and stick out like a sore thumb and i stay with my friends family in castries. i have never felt un safe there(im always with locals) but still. go out and try local food make a stop by the castries market it's awesome man you'll love it. but i'll tell you one thing i've learned stay away from the 190 proof rum it's like taking a shot of fire and you won't remember the whole day lol. every place on this earth has bad areas just stay alert and you will be fine.
