Before LeBron ever proclaimed he was taking his talents to South Beach, and got crucified for it......

Kobe did it first. So how can you all criticize LeBron for the same thing.

Careful, or I'll ether that comment with a video of that very same Kobe press conference in which Kobe uses the exact same words Michael Jordan did when Jordan left college early for the NBA.

no pun intended

Cause Kobe was his idol growing up. No joke. He said so himself.

This is the mark of a true champion. Intentionally taking on the challenge of playing straight to the NBA without going to college, being a teenager in toughest league in the world, and wanted the adversity. This is not Lebron taking his talents to a stacked support to be gifted championships and erase all competition. This is the difference, Kobe is a competitor and Lebron is a co pilot.

Yea, its astounding how confident/cocky he sounded, not necessarily a bad thing... but i mean he really thought he was something at that age, a superstar, very hyped and so on... he certainly did back it up some decade later, but before that he was a 13th pick who could barely got a starting spot his first few years, 3-4 years or something... he sounded like he was a 1st pick and would immediately come out with a bang in the NBA....

Didn't watch the video, but did he host his own hour long decision special to make this statement?

Didn't think so.
