Mind-blowing.

Seems like people have been living in a dump.
Seems like people have been living in a dump.
Riiiight, and while that's the focal point (these kids living in the dump) this documentary goes beyond that and it isn't just a full-blown "oh please send 35 cents a day and you could save one of these starving children" commercial either; there's a lot more to it.
Anyone here watched the entire thing? Post how you felt afterwards.
Bump again ... (and will again, again and again) until someone can watch the entire video and open up to me and let me know how you felt after watching such a mind-blowing feature.
So someone get on it!

So, we should feel bad for stupid people that make too many damn children? Maybe they should stop mating like animals and 2-3 children that they are capable of bringing up in a healthy environment instead 5+.

Watched this in its entirety. I would describe my feelings as a strong dichotomy of grouped emotions.
The woman Kari is an amazing person and spirit. I don't know how people like this can be so caring and loving for strangers yet still endure and persevere mentally, with hope the way she did dealing with so many tragic case studies. Her strength is remarkable and her love is transcendent.
I don't personally pursue a relationship or faith in God for many reasons and I feel most of them are justifiable but people like her are the best kind of examples of what believers can accomplish and how their faith can benefit many lives.

You're obviously not seeing the bigger picture at hand here. Early in the video, it speaks to this site being the product of three to four generations of people. If this is what you are born into and it's all you've known your entire life then obviously your children will live out the same fate, and they're virtually not going to know any better. They don't have access to news media, and I doubt they even know what continent they live on, much less the capability to understand they're bringing their own offspring into a habitat that isn't commonplace around the world.
It's incredibly easy for narrow-minded posters like the one I quoted to sit back in their comfortable computer chair, cozy couch or table among their friends using wi-fi at their local Starbucks as they watch this video and be so grossly judgmental without pausing for a simple second and at least attempting to comprehended where they're coming from.
