Derrick Rose reportedly "expects" to play in the Bulls' season opener, but he hasn't decided whether to join Team USA for their World Cup tryouts this summer.
K.C. Johnson reported in mid-June that Rose would play "if the season started tomorrow," but that appears to have been pure hyperbole. "I still don't know yet," Rose said on Sunday. "If I'm feeling right and the time is [right], for sure I will go out [to Las Vegas for Team USA]. My body is responding good, but you never know." Rose, who has been playing 5-on-5 since about mid-May, also mentioned that he won't actively recruit Carmelo Anthony. "If [free agents] want to come, they can come," he said.
