The Rockets would've won more than 10 championships with Hakeem & MJ.

They'd definitely win a couple championships. At least 2 for sure.

MJ would have been to Hakeen what Kobe was to Shaq.

They wouldn't lose to the Jazz in 85.

The word is Portland would have sent the 2nd pick and Drexler to Houston for Sampson.

So we're talking an MJ/Drexler/Olajuwon dynasty. If the Rockets didn't want to keep Clyde, then they probably could have traded him for another pick in the draft.

Stockton/MJ backcourt with Hakeem. Or, they could have gone after Barkley. Not sure what Drexler's value was at that point, but I'm guessing the Rockets could have made a deal work for Philly's pick.

Barkly/Hakeem frontcourt with MJ.

Anyway, that tells you how much Sampson was valued early on.

Houston missed out on a dynasty that could have rivaled the 60s Celtics by not trading Sampson to Portland.

But what if Sampson didn't have injury issues? The Rockets were pretty formidable with a Sampson/Olajuwon front court.

MJ and Hakeem are by far the 2 greatest players of the 90s
they win like 95% of the rings

MJ would have been to Hakeen what Kobe was to Shaq.

Hakeem is great and I don't want to take anything away from him, but MJ is nobody Robin. If they both play together it would be Superman and Batman on the same team. Good luck going against that team

12 Championships, Hakeem and Jordan 1&2 respectively all time.
