Probably one of the reasons we suck tennis is because most people -- like me -- had no idea we sucked in tennis... because we don't care. You could have told me we had the 10 best tennis players in the world and I probably would have believed you.

Your main sport is American Football. Tennis is very macho compared the bunch of pansies that play that.

Tennis is a rich man's sport. And it takes a lotta work. There are literally millions of people competing to be the 500th best player in the world. Takes a lifetime of dedication at an early age. Americans would rather go for a quick fix sport.

Word. It's probably an even easier path to becoming a top 500 player in tennis than in other mainstream sports such as baseball, football and ball.

What I meant was that even as the 500th best player in the world, you're still broke. Hell, I read an article about how anyone below 150 is really not doing well financially and needs lots of help with sponsors. The average scrub or bench warmer in american professional team sports? Doing great financially, unless you think 350K is not so good. If you're not a top guy in tennis, you aren't going to get by on tennis alone and retire comfortably.

Try to look at the broad picture.

You need lots of money to train tennis. You don't necessarily with other sports.
