:confusedshrug: I have never heard any self respecting man identify as a lebron fan to be honest, but let's just focus on new players in the league. A lot of them all profess to idolize kobe growing up, exum, randle, irving, etc, but i rarely ever hear them talk about lebron

why the disconnect? what is it about lebron that doesn't ring true and seem hollow to these young ballers?

Give it 5-6 years, those draft classes will say they grew up watching and idolizing LeBron.

maybe because kobe is old and these are just kids who watched him growing up....

It is very telling because Lebron is not as great as his stans try to make him out to be.

Basketball fans know he isn't all that great compared to his predecessors while the anti-basketball fans rave about his stats, which showed to be empty in this year's Finals.

Notice how Lebron fans don't exist anymore. They are gone.

Because Kobe was winning rings when they were little kids and when they were teenagers.

Maybe because these dudes were born around 1993 and were just starting to get into the sport around 2000....hence their idols are players who were actually in the league back then.

Doesn't the players who signed or agreed to be traded to the Lakers means that they wanna play with Kobe? If you say yes, then Steve Nash, Ron Artest, Dwight Howard, Nick Young and Derek Fisher all wanted to play with Kobe.

Maybe players in 5-6 years will still say "My idol was Michael Jordan." or "My idol was Kobe."
