Elton Brand came pretty close, he did average 20 & 10 on 50% shooting for 8 seasons in a much tougher conference

Ruined his career to the tune of 2 championships and likely more to follow. I'm sure he'd rather have the stats doe.

we gonna act like lebron hasn't assassinated Bosh's reputation?

He was already basically 20/10 by his third year.

What was Bosh's reputation pre July 2010? He was a totally forgettable good big man on a shitty team a la Elton Brand and Zach Randolph that had been borderline irrelevant to the league

Yeah, that's exactly how we gonna act. And he was never a Top 3 PF at any point.

Give me Duncan, Garnett, and Nowitzki over Bosh during the course of each season. Shit, give me peak Brand, Amare and Webber over Bosh's peak and they played in the same era. Bosh is a middle of the pack PF who was never a truly great and dominant PF with the likes of Duncan, Garnett, Nowitzki, Barkley, Malone, Pettit, Hayes, etc... He wasn't even a better second or third option vs the likes of Pau Gasol and Kevin McHale. I know there's a bunch of other players right now on prime/peak Bosh's level or who will surpass and are probably not being called superstars. There's also a bunch of ex-players that were probably not superstars in their day and were as good or better than Bosh too.

Bosh should thank LeBron everyday for him to even have a career with 2 titles.

I think him and Howard were the only 20/10 bigs in the league the last year of Toronto. How is that irrelevant?

Bosh could have demanded a MAX contract from any of the teams with cap space that season. YOUR BOY recruited, pleaded, and campaigned for him to join his team.

And this asshole would probably try to talk about Gasol carrying the Lakers to rings? Even though Gasol had ZERO playoff wins, and ZERO all nba selections before he got the chance to play with Kobe.

That was Kobe's 2nd option. And bran got the above dude as a 3rd? :lol

Mind read fail. I never said Gasol "carried" the Lakers to titles, obviously he hadn't won anything before joining Kobe in LA. It's indisputable he's been MUCH more valuable to the Lakers than Bosh has been for the Heat though

If the argument is teammates, it works both ways. 3 wins in 7 years is usually a negative to Bosh. It's a bigger negative in context.

Chris Bosh went from first round fodder to being a back-to-back Champion, making the Finals 4 straight years.

Sounds like an upgrade to me :lol

Bosh went from a team that won:

2008: 41
2009: 33
2010: 40
38 Win average

2011: 58
2012: *57 win pace
2013: 66
2014: 54
59 win average

Looks like an upgrade to me.

the only reason he played well in the finals is because of Kobe

without Kobe, Gasol is trash

with kobe, he can be a contributor

so who ultimately do you attribute his success to?

apples don't just fall from trees, it's cause of gravity. Gasol didn't just play well, he played well because of Kobe

Gasol's ability to pass the ball, means that even as a 2nd option, the team still needed many contributors around Kobe/Pau in order for them to compete, but they COULD, if the talents were there, which they were.

Bosh's ability to score/rebound, and later on defend as a center, allowed the Heat to have a drop off point in talent as him being the 3rd option. And signing Ray Allen pretty much sealed the deal.

so it's a concidence that Gasol had career numbers in FG%, ppg, rebounds, after he got paired with Kobe?

the list of players Kobe has elevated above their nature:

Smush
Chris Mihm
Farmar
Vujajic
Odom
Brian Cook
luke walton
ronny turiaf
bynum

all those players fell apart after separating from Kobe. most of them not even able to stay in the league

Despite the popular conception. Kobe has always had an incredibly positive impact on his teammates.

Lebron on the other hand. everyone who plays with him has WORSE numbers across the board:

Shaq
Larry Hughes
Wade
Chris Bosh
