View Full Version : Is avery bradley worth overpaying? What's his upside?
He's seeking $8mil per, that's a lot of money. He's worth more like $6mil per.

Avery Bradley is pretty much a better scoring version of Tony Allen. Both play elite defense and can shoot the 3. Right now Tony Allen gets paid around 5-6 million... correct me if I'm wrong... so I think Avery Bradley is worth around 7-8 mill because like I said before he's pretty much a better scoring version of Tony Allen. Plus, he's very young... only 23.

All the sudden he can shoot. A jumper is worth a lot of money these days

Id want the Mavs to pay him 8 if we got him and also got an upgrade at sf.
I'd definitley be willing to pay Deng/Bradley, for example, a combined 20 million a year.

Jenning is getting paid about 7-8 mil.
which is what he might get paid if teams still believe that he is going to develope.
but I think he should be able to get about Stuckey money.
who is also a FA this season.

and as a pg isnt the best passer or floor general.
That's putting it way too kindly.

I don't see him he's worth 8. More in the 5 million dollar range.

He can play 1s and shorter 2s on D, but he's not worth more than $8 million to me. If he gets more than 4 year $30 million, it will be a mistake imo. He does good on defense with anyone 6'5" and under but on a contending team, his offense will be non existent.

a "pg" that excels in D, a decent 3 pt shooter/scorer, but not really a playmaker.... Heat anyone?

3 years starting at $7 million seems about right. Not alot of elite SGs in the league. Kid can defend, hit the short corner 3 and great at backdoor cuts, he'll thrive with a good playmaking PG.

He said he is working extensively on adding some size/strength and also on becoming a legit 3point shooter.
I hope the Celtics resign him.

The thing with the Sixers is that he might fit because in a lot of situations they'd be better off playing MCW on an opposing SG, or even SF, in a lot of spots.
Bradley is one of the best PG defenders in the league, and in the Sixers spot they don't need to play him to try to be a PG, which he absolutely isn't.
I would wish he could shoot it a little better if I were the Sixers. He's not a good shooter. Neither is Tony Allen though. But the Sixers are seemingly going to start running into. For a team that's being built to run a ton of PnR, they have very little weakside spacing.
