Rumor only.
eh...we'll leave it at rumor. the Heat aren't going to get that 4th piece they're looking for if Lebron isn't around for a 4-5yr deal IMO

I remember people suggesting he do this with the knicks before he signed with miami. and a lot of posters were adamantly against it. However, given his injury free track record, it may be a good option for him. Cause any contract longer would almost guarantee he plays with wade and bosh way past their years of contributing to the team.
hopefully his elbow issues from the 2011 playoffs dont make a surprise appearance

Chris Bosh 5 year deal will return to Heat, per source. Dwyane Wade will re-sign for 4 years in Miami.
makes sense....
If LBJ signs a 2 year max deal.....he can leave again if Miami isn't any good.
Him and Durant will be free agents in 2016....He can join KD in LA and or somewhere else:confusedshrug:

This is a sketchy source.
I doubt he does this... he's had great durability but it's still possible that injuries derail his career. He's probably going to go for the most guaranteed money possible, which implies a 4 or 5 year deal

What does a Oregon guy know about LeBron and the Heat situation?

4-5 year deal with opt outs every year after year 2 makes sense

This is the best course of action for LEbron. He will never know if he finds another stacked team he likes better in the middle of his contract, if he does he will be stuck. This way he can hop to whichever team is best to his heart s content and erase all competition in his way. If you join them you cannot beat them is the saying and Lebron is showing this fully.
Would be wise. Wade is almost done but will be eating cap for some time

even if he sticks around, they arent getting the 4th piece. Even if wade takes 13 mil and bosh takes 16 mil, they will only have about 4-5 million in cap space. People forget that bird rights act as cap hits.
This has been speculated by various people for weeks (listen to the Lowe post pod from last week).

It makes sense to do a short term deal, see how much money the new TV deal is gonna add to the pie, and then do a new contract after next labor negotiations when the pie and salary cap are bigger.

care to explain?
