The Warriors' deal with Shaun Livingston will be three years, $16 million, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
Third year is partially guaranteed, they used their MLE.

Great deal. He's going to have fun w/ Steph.

A free agent signing is not official until Woj tweets it.

Good for Shaun. :applause:

no pun intended

Hope he can fulfill that backup PG playmaking role that Crawford and Blake failed to do make up for last year.

Marc Stein breaks just as many "signings" as well.

Was Nedovic a non factor last year? Do they still have hope for him, did they even play him?

His game is very fluid and smooth. Above average defender and playmaker. I really am a fan of his game.

If the Love deal goes down, Curry/Livingston/Martin is still a pretty good backcourt. Plus some Barnes and Nedovic mixed in. I could see Bazemore coming back too.

Steve Blake will be looking for a new team for sure now.

If he holds up - good.

If he doesn't, then losing that 4 million is a pretty big deal because they already overpaid Iguodala and are almost certianly going to overpay Thompson.

It's A VC3!!!
07-01-2014, 09:37 PM
Livingston thrived because we let him have the ball in his hands for a good portion of the time and also in crunch time. I don't think the Warriors will allow him that same freedom. I will miss Livingston more so as a person. He was one of my favorite Nets last season. Damn you Warriors for taking him.

Thompson May get moved for Love if the Warriors get another guard.

Currently:

Curry - Livingston - Nedavic
Klay - Livingston
Iggy - Barnes
Lee - Green - Speights
Bogut - Ezeli

Still need a backup 2, and maybe another big....

To be fair, you can't really count Bogut. I love the dude, but he plays like 30% of the games :oldlol:

:lol He managed to play 67 last season....but we'll have to play him even less to prevent injury before the playoffs :facepalm

Stephen Curry - Shaun Livingston - Nemanja Nedavic
Klay Thompson -
Andre Iguodala - Harrison Barnes
David Lee - Draymond Green - Marreese Speights - Hilton Armstrong
Andrew Bogut - Festus Ezeli - Ognen Kuzmic

Entire roster so far. Assuming we go the no Love route, we need a backup 2 and maybe one more reliable big off the bench and :applause:

Very nice pick up for the Warriors. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving player as well. Glad to see he has worked himself back into earning a nice contract after his devastating injury. He was one of Brooklyn's most consistent players against us in the first round...

Iggy plays the backup 2, and Green plays the 3. The only reason Green was playing so much at the 4 was because of Bogut and Ezili's absence.

That's true too. I'd be fine with Green playing more backup 4 either way though, after seeing him in the postseason. But yeah there's a lot of potential lineups that can be used with that roster.

I don't think you're going to be playing much small ball.

Think they want to be an elite rebounding team

Now they have a player that can take the ball handling pressures off of Curry. Curry can play with him and move without the ball. Hopefully this will save Curry some energy and lengthen his career.

After last years disaster in waiting for a backup pointguard I'm happy we got one. Now we've got another another ball handler that creates matchup problems and has a solid midrange game and can get into the lane well. Great signing:applause:

He's actually a perfect fit for what we like to do. We will let Livingston run the point on offense with Curry playing off-the-ball. And Livingston has the length on defense to guard the other teams SG.

Livingston has had such a crazy career. Top 5 pick who absolutely wrecked his knee, went to the D-League, came back and bounced around year to year (Miami, OKC, Washington, Charlotte, Milwaukee, back to Washington, Cleveland, Brooklyn)

Glad to see he's finally got a long term deal worth a bit of cash.

this move really sets them up with more depth/flexibility to make a run at Kevin Love.

I wouldn't be surprised if Iggy instead of Thompson ends up being traded if they decide that Thompson is worth the big bucks.

Or I'm just crazy if the rumor of signing Channing Frye is true

We don't have the money to sign Frye anymore. All we can add at this point is minimum salary players.

On a side note I wouldn't mind seeing us try and bring back Jamison for the vet min.
