Step aside Durant!
'91-'93 Jordan would be the best player in the world in ANY era.
And LeBron is still better than Durant by a lot.
Bitch.

So you're saying the GOAT in his peak years would be the best player?
Oh, LeBron >>> Durant.

91-93 Jordan was the best basketball player ever. So yeah....
And Durant is #2 in today's game behind Bron.

In today's weak eastern conference, I can see how that illusion can happen.

Any version of MJ from 1987 - 1993 and from 2nd 3-peat would be the best player in the league, in any era. Rookie MJ would be top 3 and Wizards MJ would be top 5 - 10 in today's league.

As in next year?
League rankings would be
Jordan
Durant
LeBron/Davis

He was scrawny but quick and athletic, he would be a Demar Derozan type player, 23/5/5, you have to remember there was no zone defense so Jordan basically had a layup line to the basket
There were also less possessions in a game, so less opportunities to score
He still would be top 10 IMO

1971 - 1974 Kareem would be better.
1964 - 1968 Wilt would be better.
2000 Shaq would be better.
MJ would be the best perimeter player and the most acclaimed, but those 3 would have a larger impact.

MJ would be great to be sure, but the question would still have to be, what kind of a supporting cast does he have?
Is he magically transferred to the Bucks, or the Clippers?

^This, and maybe add Russell on the right team. Like I don't know. OKC. Or Dallas. Or Indiana (replace Hibbert).

You can say that about a bunch of superstars throughout history. You can argue whatever or not if it's easier to build around Jordan compared to other greats tho.
You can also argue once you have a team that fits perfectly with each other, which superstar would have the most intangibles to help the team win it all.

Oh, I agree. We do know that even on a bad team, he would make them dangerous, and in doing so, would be putting up 35+ ppg seasons.
