I'm sick and tired of watching games go into overtime, the overtime, double OT, Triple OT take forever. Instead how about they have a layup competition, first team to miss a layup loses. Also to add some intrigue, they can select 3 fans onto the court and attempt to distract the player trying to make a layup. I have already drafted a memo and have sent it along w/ 12 signatures that I collected from the local community college to Adam Silver. I was told it is under advisement and he thanked me for my suggestion.

Yes, because NBA-level players that are playing in the top league in the world will miss a wide-open layup:rolleyes:  :wtf: :facepalm

Your ****ing retarded,go kill yourself. You need to be banned!

A layup competition, I hope you realize that will go on forever cause NBA players dont miss wide open layups unless it ****ing slips out their hands or something, which would happen once every like 10000 layups.

You ****ing dumb piece of shit

should be sudden death win by 2 rules like street ball

if one team scores. the other team has to score. if someone scores twice in a row they win ( shooting fouls = must make both free throws to count as a score )

Why not let them shoot free throws like how soccer have penalty shootouts?

I got a much much better idea how about as soon as that buzzer goes off and the scores are tied its next bucket wins and nobody can be fouled that would amp the shit out of the crowd and be a quick blood bath!!

Terrible idea but NBA players do miss wide open layups. Something like 1% of layups.

You're forgetting the goalie. Let's rescue the OP. Put Hibbert at the rim, allow "verticality", and then layups.

they can always extend the time on shot clock and change it into a possession game.

this might reduce the possibility of turn overs, but you're going to get what is "suppose" to be a better quality shot, and a better defense.

such as 45 seconds shot clock, and each team gets to play the offensive side 10 times.

this helps teams with specialty players tremendously though.

since I stole this idea from football and all.

or some coaches practice scheme.

Whether it's actually funny or not is one thing, but if you read the OP and don't immediately realize he's joking you are a complete moron. Alas this is ISH...

A version of penalty kick would be fine.

Select 5 scorers and 5 defenders. Each team takes turn trying to score 1 on 1. Team with most points win. If after all 5 scorers have taken their turn and score still tied, players who haven't taken their turn gets their chance until one team leads by 2 points. Scorers can only play once but defenders can play multiple times.

30 sec shot clock, foul rules apply, a team has to select their scorer first before defending team selects their defender, a player can both be a scorer and defender but teams can only select 5 defenders max (so they will have to defend multiple times if score is tied after 5 scorers) each basket is 1 pt. A free throw is 1 pt.

a dunk contest after double over-time would be legit.
