Is it because of his religious views on gays? or not being able to get out of the 1st round?

Seems odd he couldnt get a job and almost immediately after being fired he went straight to the booth. Maybe his agent told him that he was being blackballed?

I think he'll be able to get a job again pretty soon. Probably just waiting for the right opportunity.

Hating gays certainly doesn't help though

cause he cares more about being a preacher than a coach

It was weird how he got canned in Golden State. What did they expect the Warriors to do? You can't upset a team without your best big man. I'm thinking he's gone because of off the court issues. Most likely blackballed due to the anti-gay remarks.

I'm not sure. I really don't think he wants to go right back into coaching after what happened to him. I can see him taking a break just work with JVG on TV. He seems to enjoy it.

probably because he was a d*ck that clashed with upper management and other teams don't want that headache. Same reason why it took Hollins 2 seasons with plenty of vacancies to finally land his job, which was kind of a freak occurrence with the whole Jason Kidd surprise.

Because their team didn't run an offense, and pretty much couldn't score at all without curry on the floor.

teams don't feel like he can help them develope players
and teams with a good roster doesn't feel like giving him the chance to ruin the players?

Because the skill to shout "Mama, there goes that man!" isn't a very useful one for a Headcoach.

Naaaah. ESPN was surprised and said that there was no reason for him to be fired. I think i'll stick with their facts rather than someone who actually watches the team like yourself

Which coaching jobs has he missed since being fired? The Knicks who took Phil's guy Fisher, and Cleveland which he didnt audition for(I think)?

Hardly blackballed considering Karl and Hollins havent been hired yet.

From what I hear, he was very controlling. He didnt get along with upper management and even did not allow Jerry West into the practice facility. You have to imagine some of the stuff coming out about him have to be true because he appeared to be a solid coach and he had the backing of the best players. I think clearly he did something behind the scenes and teams know this so they are hesitant on getting him

i remember hearing him holding bible readings during practice and trying to fit players with chastity belts

Seems like he was on meth or something.

Paranoid about being under surveillance, manic, stayed at the facility all night, thought everyone was after him

But please let him find a job, watching ABC became almost unbearable
