"San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili has a stress fracture in his right leg and is unlikely to represent Argentina in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain this summer, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Ginobili, 36, was diagnosed with the early stages of a stress fracture in his exit physical with the Spurs. It's an injury that appears to have developed late in San Antonio's championship season, sources told Yahoo Sports."

First Patty now Manu. It looks like the Spurs were playing the Heat all banged up , broken and torn and collapsed only after the playoffs ended. At least they have the entire summer to rest and heal up.

Pretty ominous offseason thus far.

Confirmed. Next season is the year Duncan finally hits the old age wall, Spurs out in the second round, Manu, Duncan, and Pop retire, Parker gets traded, and Spurs try to retool around Leonard. He's not good enough, they can't seem to find a franchise player, the fan base stop supporting, and the Spurs move to Seattle. Seattle is attacked by terrorists targeting the first Palestinian NBA player, 300,000 die, US counters, Korea sees a weak point, the country gets nuked, and we all die.

Thanks a lot, Spurs. Should have retired on top like winners.

So? :oldlol:

Well it'd be nice to see the US play a close game or two, looks like it's gonna be all blowouts though.

It'll be nice to see Euroleague and his other Greek boy lover whine about how it was 'rigged' after the fact I guess.

If Spurs decline are they going to tank by resting Leonard for the entire season, so they get #1 pick in 2015 and build around both of them just like in '97?

On the real doe, San Antonio Spurs reigning world champions 2014.

Spanoulis played all of the season and all of the last EuroBasket will a severe knee and ankle injury.

He probably won't even play at the tournament either. As he needed 3 months of rest to heal, and he only has time for 2 months between the season and the team's training camp.

Greece's assistant coach said the doctors will scan his knee next week and decide if he is even able to practice without further injury problems, before he can risk playing.

So he hasn't even been announced as a possibility for the tournament yet, and even if he does play, he will only be at 70-75% like last summer.
