Haven't heard much about them, other than a rumor about McBob.

No potential for them to get a major free agent?

Dunno what to tell ya man...there has been a ton of rumors

They are going after Hawes big time
Their name was mentioned in Paul Pierce talks
McRoberts was also mentioned with their name
There's also a Monroe rumor

The FO has been busy so far :)

LOL I was about to post a thread about this before but I thought no one would care.

I think we've spoken to Hawes, but haven't heard anything else about that. Some rumors around Munroe, VC, PP.. but that's all they are I think, rumors. Oh, and talk about re-signing Moe.

Otherwise.. no draft picks, no real trade talks. Boring. I've already pretty much written off next season for any shot at the chip, team as currently constructed isn't good enough. 2015 is when we have some cap flexibility.

They need a new coach first. Then they can contend, same goes for the thunder + Rockets.

Blazers have a good shot at landing Hawes which would be a nice upgrade to Portland's horrid bench. Additionally, i'd like to replace Mo Williams with another guard backup. Maybe Kirk Heinrich or Vince Carter or something

Neil Olshey snagged Robin Lopez last season for practically nothing, and he also managed to get Thomas Robinson. I'm sure he'll do something

Well he needs to, the bench was atrocious last year...

It was still a huge upgrade over the year before when it was historically bad.

They were one of the few teams in the league that had a flow offense. Get a good defensive minded assistant coach and they'll be fine.

This. Stotts isn't horrible. Do need a good defensive mind backing him up though.

Stotts took them to the 2nd round... they lost in 5 games to the champs. Technically, their season was as successful as the Heat's. I don't think their head coach is the problem, but you guys saying they need a defensive minded assistant coach are right.

Edit: Are you saying Jackson should be the defensive coach for PDX? Or are you saying Jackson was in the same situation.
