Is he as bad as everyone is saying?

I watched maybe 3 Bulls games last year and don't remember seeing much of him. If he could be had for 1.5m, would he be a nice backup 4? Or is he just hot garbage?

He is pretty much done but teams lacking rebounding could use him.

One of Boozer's key skills used to be his ability to finish in traffic with either hand but he is way too slow now to do that without getting his shot blocked or turning it over.

I don't think he is as lazy as people say but he just lacks the mobility to play anything close to decent defense. He gets destroyed on the PnR regularly and rather than contesting shots he will just position himself for the potential rebound.

He is still a very good rebounder, above average passer and decent midrange shooter. He used to be automatic but he takes too damn long to release so he ends up throwing a couple of rushed shots that have zero chance of going in, resulting in easy fast-break points for the opponent. This might not be as much of an issue on a better offense as Chicago badly needed him to take those shots.

I guess another positive of his game is that he sets good screens :oldlol:
