Anybody ever catch this show? its basically watching everything going on in a police headquarters. If you watch this you'd probably think law enforcements whole job is to babysit and arrest drunk people. Its absolutely ridiculous how many drunks there are every night getting arrested, i swear it must account for 90% of the arrests in a police station.
anyways i was watching this last night and as i was passing out i saw one of the most fukked up situations where i could feel how fukked this guy was. he was sitting in a police HQ seat bawling and screaming KILL ME PLEASE...i mean dude was out of control crying. then you find out he was just involved in a vehicle homicide while drunk driving and killed the other driver.
So now i get it and i'm feeling what this dude is going thru. i mean i can't emphasize how fukked this guy was and he knew it. he was like a college white kid probably never arrested in his life, probably just partyiing like a college kid, and then one night you drive home drunk and BAM....you kill someone. now your whole life is over in one instant, from one stuipd decision, and you're in jail for most of the rest of your life paying retribution. I swear if you watched this and how emotional this guy was screaming stuff like "i fukkin killed him" then bawling again...then screaming "kill me please" over and over while the police are trying to process him.
i rarely see people who are just completely fukked like this and this was one of those moments. Its not like he was some rotten apple kid, more than someone who made a dumb decision one night in his life when he was drunk and completely threw his life away. it was just one of those moments where i had a epiphany never ever to drink and drive which i have done more than a few times in the past. If only most people saw how easy it is for that to happen from making that decision to drive home that night.
on a side note all i could think about watching this show was how the hell is alcohol legal and weed isnt? just the magnitude of the possible negative consequences is not remotely close. if you watch all of the shit police have to deal with regarding drunks, its absurd. they all want to fight each other, most of them are stumbling around all over the place while being processed, they're absolutely belligerent screaming and talking shit to cops or spitting on them. that is not even including the possible drunk driving killing someone.. ...then this morning i hear on the radio about some politician fight weed decriminalization saying its bad for kids :facepalm

Though this has been changing quickly due to public support, and in the near future because of the $$$ and crime figures already coming out of Colorado.
After 6 Months, Crime Down, Tax Revenue Up In Colorado (http://dailycaller.com/2014/06/30/rocky-mountain-high-after-6-months-crime-down-tex-revenue-up-in-colorado/)
- $200+ million in sales between January-June
- $11 million in tax revenue so far
- Violent crime reduced by 5% in Denver
- Yearly savings of $12m-$40m by not enforcing the old possession laws
The scary part is that they have no clue just how much these police departments actually spend on policing these laws. Eh, $12 million...$40 million...who the **** knows? Colorado doesn't have a huge population...imagine larger states/cities.

yeah the hypocrisy of alcohol being legal and celebrated while weed is illegal and dangerous is a lie

that kid won't be going to prison for the majority of his life. He'll get time, but it's unlikely he'll get a double digit prison sentence.
But people make horrible life destroying choices all the time. I've seen so many f*cked up situations where people aren't f*cked up and have completely normal lives and then BAM the sh*t hits the fan.
Majority of criminals already have f*cked up lives, no job, minimal family, etc., but there are a few like the kid you described. Life on track, money, educated, etc.
The drunk driving incidents are one thing but i think the sex crimes are the worst.
So many guys married w/ kids getting caught f*cking around with under-agers. You wanna talk about a life getting destroyed? Holy sh*t. Goodbye family. Goodbye career. Goodbye normal life. Hello prison. Hello sex offender registry.

yeah 100% agree
i'd even for sorry for the pedo's when Hansen would sting operation them because you knew they were completely fukked. and yea sex crimes definitely has to be the worst.
just the whole idea of going from being a average joe or a good/decent life with a future of possiblities to one incident of completely fukked has a profound affect on me. more so i think with the drunk driving tho since it could happen to a lot of us from just one dumb decision.

yeah but its hard to watch anyone destroy their lives in a instant...most of those dudes seem more like horny idiots than some godawful people. if they were being baited with a 5 yr old yeah, but a teen i don't condemn them as much. i mean there are a ton of old dudes that probably fap to teens.
its really the instant ending of your life in that moment from that one incident metaphorically that is real crazy to me.

yeah that shows definitely shows it. I'll never forget the one with this doctor and you knew as soon as he saw those cops bum rushing him that it was over.
And then they show him on the phone calling his wife telling him what's up. :facepalm
