Guys are getting PAID.

I thought Sacto would be looking for a more traditional point guard. This guy can't create offense for shit other than drive and kick

No Shaun, no Collison.

I guess Mo Gotti

I wonder if they will match an Isaiah Thomas offer sheet...

Why not just keep Isaiah Thomas? Collison's results as a starter have not been good.

In New Orleans (his rookie year) he averaged like 19/9 as a starter.

Okay. What's he done since then?

That's what we like to call an "outlier."

Summed up nicely, old friend

Collison is a bum, and should have stood behind Chris Paul for the rest of his career.
Crotty is to Stockton as Collison is to Paul

That is the question of the day. Only thing I can come up with is saving money.

wow. didnt see that coming. the defensive intensity he'll bring will be refreshing. But as a FULL TIME starter, Collison has always been underwhelming (but oddly enough, hes been great when starting for paul when out with injury. both NO and LAC). so i hope after another year playing under paul and doc for the first time, collison will be a quality starting PG

potentially, this is a pretty good signing.

as a full time starter, hes been more than underwhelming. hopefully, thats not the case this year. but it also hasnt been confirmed that he is indeed the starting pg. but one would think he is.

There seems to be some thought that the Kings would like a less shoot-first point, but Collison has a worst assist-to-turnover ratio than IT in 2 of the last 3 seasons.

Those stat guys in New Orleans just give out free assists :lol

Very strange since Thomas did so well for them. He basically made their big3 and was more consistent than Gay. Doesn't really make sense...

Pretty much. Look at the home vs road splits.

For a second there I thought the Kings would try to run IT and DC at the same time.

Size wise like a YMCA game out there

Even then, he still had multiple 10+ AST performences on the road.

And he's had 8 total 10+ assist games in the 4 seasons since.

Wow wtf 16mil? Wow why not offere like 2 million more to get Livingston? At least we got two PG's who play defence now.

Overpaid him but, Thomas and the Kings imo are better off without each other he needs to go somewhere where he has a smaller role which will make him better and the Kings need a decent 2 WAY PG although I'm not sure atm if Collison is that.

He can be our Patrick Beverly I guess but man overpaid but. Maybe the Kings really beleive in Ray Mac as well who knows.

How can it be a big 3 when you got below 500. when all 3 are healthy it was the empty 3.

this is why sac-town will never be relevant again....16 mil for a back up pg thats not a pg that they most likely gonna start at pg.smh.

so true. and he sucks defensively as well.

they really have no clue what they are doing there. I get potentially not wanting Thomas back at his price, but then to turn around and do this? What?

Sactown's a mess. This team is run so badly they belong in the East.

When chris Paul went down with the shoulder injury, collison was the main reason they sustained their level of play. They even rises in the standings during that stint. Chris went down for 18 games, collison averaged 14/7 over that time with a 12-6 record. That's pretty good esp without the best player. I watched all the clipper games and he was the big reason they really didnt miss a beat when Paul went down. Now I don't know if he can for a entire year, but I do think he can be a starter and has show stints that he can on certain teams.
