Name of one target Miami is trying to secure for LeBron has emerged: Sources say Heat making push for perimeter specialist Anthony Morrow

@ESPNSteinLine 21m
Word is both Heat and OKC Thunder are chasing Morrow. As was Orlando, I'm told, until Magic secured their deal with Ben Gordon as well

@ESPNSteinLine 17m
Message here is Heat are chasing realistic targets to fit in around LeBron, Wade and Bosh. Never had a real shot at the Lowrys and Gortats

Morrow shot 45% from 3 last season. He's certainly a good shooting wing and would be a cheap fit.

Whoever gets him is getting a helluva shooter who always brings passion and energy to the floor. I'm glad New Orleans rejuvenated his career, because he is a good dude who deserves to win a ring.

Not exactly the splash to make Miami the favorites but he would be good bench piece. Problem big 3(especially Lebron) wants his cake and eat it to. They want to be paid handsomely but still expect Riley to magically get other top tier FA for peanuts its not gonna happen. If Wade and bosh took pay cuts like they deserve heat could of landed a Lowry or gasol..

Memphis needs to keep Miller or get Morrow.

morrow always buries shots against your favorite team. Dude is money from deep. I hope some team overpays him to keep him off the heat.

I like the idea of adding Morrow to the team. I think I would take him over Mike Miller. He's younger and more athletic. Hmmmm.....

Why should Wade and Bosh be the only ones to give up money? The big 3 formed on the principle of sacrificing to make the team better. Now LeBron doesn't want to do that anymore. It's appropriate for Bosh and Wade to take bigger paycuts than James, but they shouldn't be the only ones taking them.

And nobody should be expecting them to sign for less of an annual than their current contracts (which pay them $14 - 15 million yearly) when they're eligible for raises of over 25 percent.

This.

The latest news says that neither Bosh nor Wade is willing to take a pay-cut. I mean I get it that Lebron should be payed properly but neither Wade nor Bosh are worth huge contracts anymore.

Now Miami will end up with the big3 and some veterans again. No way that's going to be enough.

You're right but the big difference is that Lebron has been carrying this team and he's been the best player in the NBA for the last couple of years. Therefore he kinda deserves more money. Whereas Wade is almost done and Bosh has a tendency to disappear in some games.
