With Irving, Waiters and Wiggins as his teammates, what should we expect from Bennett in terms of production next year? There is a bit of potential there as we saw at the end of the season.
Obviously the Cavs off-season hasn't ended yet, but do we see him playing a sixth man role behind TT? Or do you expect him to crack the starting lineup?

He'll face a minutes problem.
Wiggins gets the minutes at 3, Thompson gets minutes at 4.
It's going to be tough this season for him.

9.3points - 6.1rebounds - 1.6assists - 1.1steals - 0.9bocks - 2.2turnovers
bump if anything comes close lol
edit-- Now that I look at that, those stats are way too high of an expectation.
I hope he proves me wrong, he can still be a good pro in a couple more years I think

I am expecting a big year from this young man. I am talking 15/8/2. He has too much potential to suffer another season like last year. Let's go, Bennett!!!

For his sake, I'd like to see him go into the season in great shape and start at the 4 for the Cavs.
Irving, Wiggins, free agent/trade, Bennett, free agent/trade.
That should be the Cavs plan imo.

Sometime in the fall of 2014 a basketball will Bennett's hands and cross the hoop.
I cannot guarantee if this will occur in an officially sanctioned match or at the practice facility. I also cannot confirm whether the ball will enter the cylinder from the bottom or the preferred top region. Mark my words, however. It. Will. Happen.

He averaged 15/9 per 36 in the 2nd half of the season. The guy only played a max of 30 mins. He might feel more comfortable playing with another rookie. Sadly if he puts up only 15/9 per game he's still kind of a bust due to being taken #1 but for his ability 15/9 is just about right.

I think he'll definitely improve, I think he'll get more minutes as well. Last year the two small forwards getting all the minutes was Earl Clark and Alonzo Gee. Both of those players are gone now and Wiggins is really the only thing closest to a SF we have on the team currently.
From seeing pictures of Bennett at a charity event it looks like he cut down a lot of weight. I expect him to get minutes at the 3 and 4.

I am an AB homer who was really miffed last year.
I realistically think he can be a top 15 power forward next year, if he gets in shape (which it looks like he has) and the minutes fall into place. I also think he can improve from that the following year etc.
Now that Kyrie is locked up, I see the Cavs parting ways with Waiters, but to not look to Kyire-centric, I think they will also trade Kyrie's boy, Tristan Thompson (high character, great rebounder who will be appealing to many teams) and go after a jumpshooting SF, and moving Wiggins to the 2.
That is my happy place with this team right now, not sure it can happen but would love to see them try.

nice starting five, IF (and yes after last year, a big if) Bennett is game ready.

Bennett was super out of shape and mentally fragile. Cavs tried giving him more minutes in the beginning but he would be gasping for air with 5 minutes. That's why they played Clark over him at the 4. Bennett barely played any SF last year. Maybe only a few minutes.

I see Anthony Bennett surprising a lot of haters and doubters when the season starts. He probably won't be starting but he'll work his way up to get that role. I think he'll come off the bench and put up about 10 points and 7-8 rebounds.
You'll be seeing a much different Bennett, as in more stronger and athletic.

a lot of cavs fans think he should be starting but Thompson is pretty far ahead of him IMO.
Bennett seems to fit what Blatt wants to do offensively but Bennett needs to show some consistency off the bench before he should be considered for the starting role.

How? Tristan isn't a great basketball player. I'm not even sure if he's a basketball player at all. More of an energy big off the bench. Bennett shits on him in every way imaginable.

Bennett is more talented, Thompson is more hustle and seems to try to work hard.
I personally didn't expect him to be nearly a 11/10 player. Considering Thompson switched shooting hands last year I would expect him to be better this year.

10/5 on poor efficiency in 30 minutes. 2015-2016 will be his breakout season when he starts to look like a fat man's Antoine Walker

cause he hustles, rebounds, plays defense, and can be counted on.
Bennett was pretty bad last year. TT was one of the more consistent teammates last season.
TT isn't flashy and doesn't have much an offensive game, but he played really well against some bigger more star studded front courts this year.
