And you think like, damn this dude was once a living dude, on a farm or some shit, probably had kids, and now it's literally about to be a part of my guts. This lil turkey that waddled around gobbling and squawking is about to become part of ME, a conscious being. My brain is going to function from the calories that come from this animal, basically meaning my energy and my existence IS this animal and a bunch of others along with some plants.

It's almost like a holy experience, right? You are what you eat and unless you're on that vegetarian shit you got like a bunch of farm animals living inside you in a way.

That type of thing trips me out sometimes. The cycle of energy on this planet with solar energy being converted into usefulness through plants and animals is a pretty magical thing. Honestly, being able to grasp the interconnected nature of life on this planet is one of the most wonderful things about human reasoning imo.
