He and Melo are literally the only two that tried to win games last year for the Knicks.... I don't think he's anywhere near the trade list just yet.

Great athlete; great first step. Can catch and shoot, which is a must for triangle. Dumb as a stump. Maybe PJ and co. can reign him in. He'll be gone by next year if he doesn't chill out.

is this a joke? by trying to win games last year, does that include getting suspended for smoking pot? His silly antics untying opponents sneakers? SMH at your post

His inconsistency and poor shot selection cancels out any pros of his game. He's garbage bro.

He's a moron so I can't imagine him understanding the triangle and executing it well.

Exactly. If anything, JR embodies what was wrong with the Knicks rosters since Riley left. They always seemed to draft or sign players based on their athleticism despite their lack of emotional maturity or basketball IQ.

His lack of defense is appalling. He has moments of brilliance tho, and played well last year. I'm not a fan; he drives me crazy, but if the organization sees a role for him I won't question it until after 20 games.

I love how people continuously assume all a GM has to do is wave a magic wand and he can magically trade whatever player he wants for a good return.

because Derek Fisher is still waiting for the possibility to have a mature sit down conversation with him about the possibility for Smith to run the second unit, since he can create his shot.

Another coach and another convo. His talent goes the opposite of his brain.
