Kobe is always been the protagonist. He just looks the part, ain't no movie other than Kazam would have shaq as the leading man.

What do you mean, Kobe has been the best player win or lose for 6/7 (GP in 2004). We all know politics and mainly racism are to play, otherwise Kobe would have won over Shaq.

He's a poor Finals performer, that's why. Look at his career Finals percentage. Embarrassing. When he actually did try to force the issue in '04, it resulted in the worst Finals performance in NBA history.

You mean 5 for 7. That's over 70% whereas LeBron is 2 for 5 or 40%.
Kobe was clearly the protagonist against Boston (a team that had KG, Pierce, Rondo, Perkins, Big Baby, Eddie House, and Rasheed Wallace on it!). LeBron was NEVER the protagonist as the Cavs and especially the Heat were ALWAYS portrayed as the "bad guys".
Do you even know what protagonist and antagonist mean?

Can you imagine Jordan with 2 out 7 Final MVPs. Or 2 out of 5?
He's just a poor Finals performer who gets to be on great teams, or play against weak teams. And bailed out.

Kobe has had 2, maybe 3 good finals series. Same with bran, both are mediocre on the biggest stage. Both had shitty finals series (00, 04, 08, 07, 11)

he won too early.
remove the 3 years with Shaq.
