How credible is the source though? I'm only going to react when he officially leaves.

Don't know if the source is credible. Good for Bosh if true. Bosh to the Rockets makes a ton of sense.

I remember him specifically say that he would take a paycut to help the team
People specifically say things that don't come to light.

Could be that he doesn't like what Riley has done so far. Could be that he'd take the paycut if it was going to make Miami better, but it could be that he and his agent don't think that's doable now for whatever reason. Could be his agent is now telling him "You can be a contributor elsewhere AND get paid rather than waiting on Lebron."

Just speculating.

He's taking his talents to Houston.

This is such a simple choice. You have won a championship. You are not great enough to be building a legacy. No need to follow Bron for possibly more championships.

Go home to Texas. Earn your check (state tax free!)

Lol if true bosh can take a walk heat would be much better off signing a few good role players with his money. Rather have for example boozer, Ariza, morrow, than just bosh..

He'd be a good fit in Houston IMO.

Not hating on Bosh here, but would it really wise to sign a 30 year old big who is probably past his prime to a long-term max deal like that?

Riley should do a sign and trade with someone. That would be ideal for both parties.

Lebron is clearly incapable of using Bosh correctly anyway.

I really doubt this is true cause why would he have opted out? He was already set to make huge money. Just wouldn't make sense.

well, letting go of Wade/Spo has never been the toughest decision a cold hearted person needed to make.

Houston would definitely give him the max.

Just because LBJ made him look like a role player doesn't mean he actually is one.

Bosh can't get nowhere near max in Houston. However you remember when Bosh said he wants to be the main star only last time right before signing with Miami? Hope that he says he wants a max deal, and signs with Houston anyways. He'd be an amazing fit imagine if they sign Deng also. Doubt Deng would take a pay cut though. Deng wants to get paid, he deserves it anyways.

I didn't know 16 and 6 gets you the max

If Houston offers the max bosh needs to take it. He has his rings now get that $$:lol
He's not bran he doesn't need to ring chase.. But if he did join Houston they'd be looking pretty good.

Plus he could be more than brans spot up 3 point shooter

His deal in Miami wasn't a max.
Good for Bosh. I'm tired of seeing him as a 3rd/4th option in Miami.

Wasn't it very close to max though for the next 3 years? Like 15-17 mil or something? I mean it's not 20 but still...always run a risk of getting less if you opt for free agency. That said, I definitely think there's at least one team that would overpay him. I mean...look at the deal that Deandre Jordan has :lol

Let Bosh Walk Please.. Heat can improve team better him gone and $ freed up. Sign Gasol and Deng with his Money or Ariza, Boozer,Monroe ect there are plenty of options to make Heat a Deeper/Better team.

Deng wants more than 10 Mill per season. He'll get it but probably not from Houston.

Phoenix, Utah and Philly all have more cap space than L.A.

An aging, broken down Kobe really isn't as big of an incentive as you might think. All 3 of those teams are currently better positioned for the future than the Lakers are.

Phoenix for example could offer max level contracts to both James and Bosh while still retaining Dragic and Bledsoe.

^^This. Gtfo Bosh, literally the softest big in the history of the league.

Some Woj:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

Biggest issue for Miami could be this: How does it meet Bosh salary desires, and keep any real space for free agents? Crunch time for Riley.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

If LeBron James wants a short-term deal in Miami, why would Bosh commit long-term at a steep discount -- only to get left behind later?

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

For agents negotiating on free agents w/ Heat, so far impossible to get concrete offers b/c Riley doesn't have precise figures on Bosh-Wade.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

This is an unprecedented dynamic in free agency history. Heat's walking a wild tight-rope. If anyone can pull it off, it's Pat Riley.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

Chris Bosh's reps have made recent calls on market to reconfirm that max slots would be available to him, sources tell Yahoo. Answers: Yes.
