Usually when someone is depressed over a girl, they would get back into the dating game in order to move on, and usually when they are in the game they are going to work harder on themselves to look good. People who gain weight are usually people who are content in a relationship and can care less about looking good. I guess he's still getting p*ssy based on popularity and money, so I doubt he cares about the way he looks.
