The only 3 legit options at this point are :

Miami (dwindling by the day)

Cleveland

and NY

If Melo is staying in NY, and they have Phil Jackson working his magic I strongly believe it's possible LeBron would head to NY.

What would be your reaction?

Only Cleveland and Knicks are sensible choices at this point. I would be pleasantly surprised that Lebron has taken up the challenge of coming to NYC but I wouldn't ease up my criticism of him. Knicks fans are most astute and critical observers of the game and Lebron will learn that from first game here

Cleveland has the higher window.

I would love it, even though I'm a Lebron fan I kinda have sympathies somewhere in me for the Knicks.

But, how would that even be possible this off season?

There would have to be a sign and trade with Amare's contract going back to the Heat in this situation. I'm not sure how much Shumpert, Early, Hardaway Jr., and Larkin would interest the Heat, but I don't think the Knicks have the pieces to entice the Heat to do that.

I think honestly and objectively, I dont think the backlash would be that big. A. NY hasnt had a championship in 40 years.
B. This has been a morbidly run franchise for an overextended time.
C. It wouldnt make the Knicks championship material but contenders.
