I didn't mean that it would be a 1 and done year. I just don't see the combo working out too well on the court. I think Melo is extremely overrated. A Melo/Kobe combo would get really hyped ala Kobe/Dwight combo but I don't see them being doing any damage to the western conference without a brilliant coach.

There are pics. They went out to dinner to celebrate Pau's birthday at Maestro's in Beverly Hills. It's not like it was a private one on one. The only speculation is that they were really celebrating Melo deciding to be a Laker and they were disguising it as a birthday party. It's all up in the air since Melo is friends with Kobe and might have just attended because he was in town.
