I still remembering finding it so weird how serious the cheerleading was. They gave them there own set of cheerleaders to cheer us on from there own school, probably the juniour team or something lol.

I became a Celtics fan during the 1987 playoffs.

Magic hitting the Jr Jr Hook over McHale and Parish in Game 4 of the Finals that year still stands out in my memory. My old man was certain we had it after McHale came out on the bad ankle and made Worthy his bitch in Game 3. Then we lost Game 4 at the Garden and you knew we were done.

The 5% of me that is a Spurs fan signed on when they drafted Duncan. I was so sure the Celtics were getting him in that draft and so many of his Wake Forest games were on TV that year, I became a huge fan. Then ML Carr went to the lottery and cursed us with his stupid face and we picked 3rd and 6th :( Was still a huge Duncan fan and ended up checking Spurs scores in the paper every morning.

Bulls fan since 1986. Didn't even really know what basketball was till that year when we first got cable TV and I got to watch the Bulls on WGN. Of course MJ was already scoring at will but I was a huge Charles Oakley fan before they gave him to NY for Bill Cartwright's corpse. Had a brief span I rooted for the Blazers when Pippen went there late in his career but it didn't stick.

50+ years.

The first NBA game I went to featured the LA Lakers vs. the Cincinnati Royals (Jerry West & Elgin Baylor vs. Oscar Robertson) at the Los Angeles Sports Arena (before the Forum was even built).

The Lakers were still wearing blue and white.

Jerry West was my boyhood hero.

And I truly miss hearing Chick Hearn call Laker games. I cried when he passed away (I've never done that over someone I never met).

Bulls fan since '94. Pippen was my favorite player, Jordan (when he came back) my least. Jealous that the attention was on him instead of Pippen.

Favorite team has always been the Bulls, but I've been fans of other teams, bouncing around for players....
Rockets/Blazers because of Pippen.
Suns because of Marion.
Lakers, after Shaq left, because of Kobe.

For the most part, though, I enjoy nearly every team, but Bulls will always be the team I care about the most, even if I don't follow them the most.
