Who do you think wins in a best of 7 series? I know the '96 sonics eliminated the Utah Jazz team in the 1996 NBA playoffs in 7 games.

Damn.

Payton outplayed Stockton in that series. Both Malone and Kemp put up some solid stats in the conference finals

Payton was a monster defensively while Kemp at his peak was a top 3 PF in the league.

I got my Sonics, 4-3. They were a well rounded team. They had defense, offense, rebounding, shooters, speed, athleticism, and coaching. We should have gotten a title in 1996. If it wasn't for that Michael Jordan lead Bulls team.

I got the Sonics...Why'd you pick the '98 Jazz and not the '97 Jazz?

They were the better team in the 90's

Sonics were a better team on paper, but I think the Jazz were a tougher challenge to the Bulls. They wanted it more (especially in '98) and had more veteran savvy.

Sonics were very deep too, not just Payton-Kemp but they had like 3 other double digit scorers led by Schrempf.

Stockton - the man who never had a peak, was basically raped by GP in 1996, by 98 was average on defense and was white.

Malone - The Failman only delivers the post during 3 of the 4 yearly seasons, quitting during the most important season (Winter).

Kemp/GP would sweep those scrubs.
