View Full Version : Why would Lebron going back to Cleveland make you like him more?

Some of you guys are so ****ed in the head with your judgement of character and what makes you like someone.

It will take tremendous courage to go back to the team he betrayed and will show what kind of character he has.

Someone just said this on here, and a lot of you have been saying shit like this the last few days. I personally have zero problem with Lebron, but I think that if you do have a problem with him, for you to all of a sudden like him or respect him because he goes back to Cleveland...what the ****?

You guys realize its basically the same exact thing. He left Cleveland because they were not the best situation to win, now he is leaving Miami for the exact same reason. It is the same thing, it is just convenient that it happens to be Cleveland. Lebron wouldn't be touching Cleveland if they still sucked. We wouldn't even be talking about them. Don't think for one second this has anything to do with courage or doing the right thing. Lebron does not give a shit about anything except winning as the alpha male and having the necessary help to do so (while also being respected through max $$)

LeBron probably wouldn't go to Cleveland if he didn't feel they had a good team BUT the whole hometown thing would be part of the reason to go back...otherwise why not go to Phoenix/Lac/Houston/Dallas? All have better rosters than the Cavs.

Because this fan base doesn't deserve a good team

And what star free agent would ever consider going to a team who was terrible for any other reason than being greedy and wanting more money?

Please show me one instance of a star player going to a bad team voluntarily, just because he wanted to be a nice person and help that team out. LOL.

And all are in the west. He was never going to venture out there.

Someone who leaves his team after 4 straight finals is, simply put, a traitor and a coward.

End of story.

His most loyal fan NumberSix admitted that straight up.

They would still give him a better shot..Also why not Chicago, then? The Cavs won 30 games last year and the only change they've made is Wiggins...

Damn I sure wish I can say something about this. I'm going to be silent about this for now.

Only Kobe and MJ homers want him to go back to Cleveland. Less chance of him getting more rings.

I don't agree with that one. I think Lebron cares a lot about his family and friends wishes aswell. He just wants to please everyone especially to those who are close to him. It's just the way he is as a person. Cleveland has good pieces, but those pieces are very young and like posters above said if he only cared about winning he has other better destinations to consider. Remember, when he joined Miami of course there was a ton of talent on that team but he also joined the closest friend of his (Wade) out of all the pro bball players and I think that played a huge role for him joining Miami.

What? I would assume the opposite.

If he goes to Cleveland he'd clearly be choosing the inferior short-term option.

the guy bailed on the heat at the first sign of trouble and cost wade and bosh millions in the process.

I smell bullshit on that. He cares about his family and friends but he is willing to uproot his children and wife while turning against his friends and teammates (Wade/Bosh). I'm sure his kids would be happier living in a beachside mansion in Miami than in Cleveland where they might even be mocked by other kids because of his dad's history there. His wife owns a local business which she will now be taken away from too.

Him leaving Miami would be all about business so we should stop trying to describe it as anything more.

A team that went to 4 straight Finals, won back-to-back titles is not in a good position to win? Vegas had Miami as the favorites for the 2015 champions even after losing to the Spurs. They're pretty much a lock to make it to the Finals with the Eastern Conference being so historically weak.

No, it isn't. They have 4 #1 picks, 2 of them on rookie deals. Therefore, they have more sustainable talent.

The only respectable move would be to re-sign for the max, day one of Free Agency, bring back the crew and go again.

Him leaving Miami for any other team except Cleveland, yea I agree. But when you put Cleveland and Lebron in the same sentence you just can't say it's all about business. I don't know, his wife seemed pretty excited about Cleveland when she tweeted that some time ago.

Prodigal son returning to his old house. and The cavs haven't made it into the playoffs since Lebron signed with the Heat.

Lebron is still the GOAT Cavaliers.

She tweeted about coming home to Akron.....like they always do every summer.

I would die laughing at LeBron with the rest of the LeBron haters if he went back to cleveland after the way the owner and fans acted when he left.

I could at least see if he went somewhere he thought he could win better, but LeBron would rate The King on the lack of self respect meter if he went back to the Cavs to play for Massa.

I would respect LeBron more if he went to Houston, Lakers, Knicks... anywhere but Cleveland. I would still respect him and thank him for his work while here, but I would laugh at him at the same time for where he chose to go if it was the Cavs.

You have to have a very small amount of self respect to go back and play some place where they burned your jerseys, and the owner Massa Gilbert acted like how dare that boy exercise his free agent rights and not live for the Cavs as a servant in perpetuity.

Draft picks are hit or miss. If he wants to win a ring next year or in 2016 the best option is still Miami.

You really think Cleveland is a Finals team next year with Lebron? I don't. I think Indiana beats them.

I respect your opinion but I also know that no matter what he does someone's going to have a problem with it.

Yep the only thing that would make it better is if Nike brought back those puppet commercials to reenact the whole thing

well, someone who may be responsible for his teams 4 straight finals is, simply put, the most sought after commodity/asset in the basketball world.

Vegas had Nash/Kobe/Gasol/Howard Lakers team as one of the favorites. How did that turn out?

Never hated Lebron and still won't if goes someplace else. He would still be my favorite NBA player in the league. I didn't even care when he left the Cavs. I got other things to worry myself about then what a grown ass man does with his life that doesn't concern me.
