He should sue McDonald's because he will never get laid again thanks to them.

Typical. In America you have people suing for anything.

They should immediately throw shit like this out.

Well he was watching baseball, so falling asleep was likely to happen :sleeping

If they genuinely insulted the guy multiple times that's really uncalled for and is technically libelous. Millions of people watching and listening to that could be harmful to your everyday life. (I don't care enough to read more or watch a video of it. So I don't know what's really going on.)

Is it worth 10 million? No. But the guy should get an apology, some merch and a few bucks.
Well I guess every stand up comedian should be sued right?

Yeah because that's the same.
It is the same.

I'd probably line up random people as witnesses, and ask every one of them if they've ever heard of the term "kiss cam" at a baseball game.

I'd probably expect every one of them to say yes (sure hope so)

then as the normal proceeding.

no further question your honor.

This will be common in Australia within 5 years as the country continues to trend rapidly into American corporate culture.

They should reward him $50,000 then give him court fees in the amount of $60,000.

They read a legal disclaimer from the back of a Yankees ticket or what ever this morning on Mike & Mike and it clearly indicates that the arena/stadium is a public venue and any actions taken within it are fair for others to use, blah blah legal mumbo jumbo.

Overall, I'd expect it to get thrown out pretty fast.

Watch the vid. They said he might have neck ache tomorrow and the game is not the place to sleep.

The fan's religion states he can not be put on television. Sin against god. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in his favor. $10 million forthcoming....

I did not know that ball parks had to hire their own security since it's part of the public domain and local police had complete authority over what happens within the ball park.

Not sure how that's relevant but ok. But yeah, I always see cops inside the ballpark so they must ultimate authority from a security perspective.

Homeboy gets made fun of for being asleep at a f*cking Yankees/Sox game.

Then he makes a big federal case out of it and gets made fun of by even more people.

This is why we as a species are totally f*cked.

I mean, do you think it's in the publics best interest for polices to be patrolling the ballparks during normal hours?

Whenever you have a large gathering of people...a ballgame, a parade, an outdoor fair, a concert, whatever...it is always in the public interest to have a police presence there. It's just common sense. The police are ALWAYS needed there's always SOMETHING that's going to happen....

which then comes down to the ratio between people/law enforcement, crime rate, etc.

I mean, yes, there's always going to be the need, but then there's always the problem when it comes to funding as well.

and you would be surprised by the amount of people who prefer to not pay the government for police. but then sues the government when things happen.

entitlement, it may push for critical thinking as well as innovation. but it also destroys relationships. which in a capitalistic world, as well as to a certain extense the christian moral/belief, is accepted.

According to the article he actually wasn't insulted by the commentators. They just said something like a ball park shouldn't be a place to nap. The online community(like us) were the ones that insulted him(and rightfully so) and that's where he finds ESPN liable for being responsible for him getting bashed on the web.

I fail to see what's out of line about what they said :confusedshrug:
They said he was unaware of the importance of the game :confusedshrug:

Had they said "look at this fat piece of sh1t sleeping during this game, what a fcuking ugly bastard" maybe he'd have a case. What exactly was libelous about saying that a sleeping guy is in fact sleeping?

kid has a case, there was no reason for him to be slandered like that on live television. he's not a part of the game
