View Full Version : How do you feel about Racism?

Just wanted to take the temperature of ish and see if anybody feels like me or if I'm an outlier. It really seems like the instances of people getting called out for being 'racist' or 'homophobic' or 'sexist' are skyrocketing in the past few years. It seems like every week some new celebrity or business person is on the hot seat for a violation of the sticks and stones code of ethics.
I'm at the point now where before I hear the story I'm rolling my eyes and sighing expecting to read about some non existent offense. Which is just the problem. Sometimes it is a big deal, but zealots to me have diluted the words so much with their liberal use that it means nothing any more?
Does anybody else's eyes roll into the back of their heads when they hear these words? Or am I just an out of touch un-sensitive asshole?

Because of the liberal gestapo post-2010 few people actually understand what racism means and most people walk on eggshells when considering saying anything that could even remotely be construed as 'racist,' especially around blacks.
Generally speaking, if someone becomes very sensitive about perceived 'racism' or race related topics it's a reliable indicator that the individual possesses a low IQ.

I feel like liberals are just disconnected with reality.

"I'm not racist, you're just stupid"
Denial is hilarious. Your entire post is nonsense.
And didn't you make this thread already, Breezy? I'm 100% sure you did.
Perhaps. Repeating myself has become a major preoccupation in my life. Although I don't remember making a specific thread about it and although I've been on this site for some time I don't post enough and thus lack the clearance to check.

What happened in 2010? Did I miss a meeting? How come none of you guys told me about this?

Does anybody else's eyes roll into the back of their heads when they hear these words? Or am I just an out of touch un-sensitive asshole? You probably hear it more, because women, homosexuals, and minority ethnic groups have been empowered significantly even in the last decade.
When they're offended, their voices are louder, and they garner more public sympathy. This has altered our norms, and they continue to change. Things which may have been socially acceptable 5, 10, or 20 years ago may now be considered scandalous. Things which are controversial, but generally tolerated in polite society today may not be tomorrow.
On the other hand, things which were considered offensive some time ago are now considered acceptable, if not normal, e.g television portrayal of interracial, or homosexual couples, transgender individuals, etc. Discussion regarding alternative economic models, and disparities between economic classes is more acceptable than it was during the cold war. Young people don't seem to encounter as much backlash when they question conservative social values, or religious and nationalistic chauvinism. I think we face less of a backlash when questioning authority in general. Women have more freedom to speak to men as equals, dress liberally, and pursue ambitions which don't involve children.
I'm sure there are some cases in which those words are used without just cause, but if you truly believe they're usually misused, then you probably are out of touch. If you truly roll your eyes, and feel no sympathy for those who speak out against oppression, intolerance, and discrimination then you probably are insensitive.

JFK won a presidency.
the percentages of homosexuals in which existed throughout human history in my vaguest guess, probably never changed much.
when we are on the subject of minority, I just don't see how we don't take into the consideration of immigration and migration rate.
there are plenty of countries where immigrants probably enjoys the same right as the natives. But will simply be viewed as an outsider due to cultural issues.
I don't consider someone who fights for those that's been discriminated to be a liberal. Yea, you're right, the liberals ARE the loudest.
But what good are they once change is finished/done?
they go on and be loud about the next thing in which has nothing to do with their core beliefs.
unless you want to say fighting for people less fortunate/discriminated is someones core belief.
just tell me who's gonna take care of the bill.

Racists always complain they aren't allowed to be racist enough.
It gets worse for them all the time, there was slavery two centuries ago, empires one century ago, Hitler tried but couldn't do much a bit later and the best thing they have to show now is what? The tea party and some psychos in Europe?
I'm sorry but what you think of as "extreme political correctness" nowadays will be regarded as extremely offensive a few decades from now. Fact.

Its an issue in North America, everywhere else has a much more realistic view on differences between races.
Stereotypes are about 70% accurate, if you don't behave like a stereotype, people will quickly treat you different. I think we are ruining far too many people's lives because they are 'insensitive'.

it's great. which is why recognizing and understanding the importance of the global economy and its role regard to the current political decision making process is the path to go.

This thread reminds me of that Apologies to Jesse Jackson episode of South Park. While racism is still a major problem in this country and people deal with that shit every day of their lives, you have over privileged douchebags who want to bitch and moan about maybe being labeled a racist for spewing their hateful bullshit.
Cry me a river.

they also love their land, and are the pickiest prick when it comes to who they give it to even when their position is not as favorable as before.

You're a perfect example of a young liberal with a low IQ. You don't even understand the foundation of my argument, and then proceed to completely misconstrue it. Well done.

Quit playing stupid. All sorts of people are losing their jobs and having their character assassinated for simply speaking up on their views.

can't help but like it
the differencies are obvious, just like there are obvious differences between golden retrievers and chihuahuas (we all know who is superior) even though they are the same species, I am not gonna not be a "racist" just because of PC and hurt idiots with sub-80 IQ and weak body whose only purpose in life is playing a professional victim
just wait for liberals to take out each other and then we can go back to being hateful chauvinists; thing is already on the rise through the Europe so it will come ot US too:cheers:

Racism is a buzzword used against white males. For whatever reason they are the only group that can ever be considered "racist".
The most intolerant groups are always the groups that play victim. If your white(or asian) and you go through a neighborhood that is 90%+ black you will be targeted strictly based on the color of your skin. "yo white boy" and you will be harassed or perhaps physically assaulted. almost a surefire thing to happen.
Now a single black guy just strolling through a white neighborhood? Guy isn't going to have a single problem whatsoever. When you think about shit like this you have to question what the agenda is and is reality what the media tries to say it is. Because it is not.
