I hear people saying all the time, "Making the finals is an accomplishment in itself. Jordan only made 6 finals because he wasn't good enough to make more." Blah. Blah. Blah.

The fact is, making the finals for Miami is not impressive. Eastern Conference teams won 37 percent of their games against the West (166 out of 450 overall). And it could have been much worse. The East won less than 30 percent of games through early December. Only in 1948 did the West rule the East by a considerably greater margin.

We all know the East is an embarrassment to basketball and the Heat have an absolute cakewalk to the finals every single season. Put any elite player or team in this conference and they will walk to the finals year after year. Jordan would've make the finals in this conference in his rookie year.

Getting to 4 Finals in a row is impressive. A dose of context for the Heat's run however, especially considering their cowardly stacked roster in such a weak ass conference and it isn't near as impressive as many would make it out to be. They were a lock to get to the Finals every season, they did what was expected. No kudos.
