Who starts at the 2? Probably seems like a no-brainer, but Waiters is more natural at the 2 I think (Wiggins is a 3?), and I'm sure benching him will probably make him even more at odds with the organization :confusedshrug:

I don't see a huge difficulty in playing all of them and LeBron at the 4 but Waiters will probably continue to be the 6th man.
Wiggins is a 2 according to the Cavs organization.

Waiters should be 6th man.

Hm...
Kyrie
Waiters
Wiggins
Bron
Varejao
Not bad...lots of ball dominant players though
Also, is there any truth to Waiters beefing with the organization due to him being benched and stuff?

Cavs GM David Griffin says he sees Wiggins excelling to stardom as a two-guard.
There's a chance that if the Cavs trade for Love, they'll have to deal Waiters. They most certainly will deal either Bennett or Thompson. As well. If this were to happen I think the Cavs will throw everything they got at them first to avoid dealing Waiters, including all three of their first round picks next season.

We'll trade Barnes and something else for him :confusedshrug:
Curry - Livingston
Klay - Waiters
Iggy - Green
Lee - Speights
Bogut - Ezeli

Do you Cavs fans see Wiggins excelling at the 2?

Probably, I think Waiters would rather play in Philly than anywhere else so I don't see him sticking around regardless of whether or not he's starting

Ah. So I assume Grant's talk of Wiggins playing the 2 isn't based on Bron coming back, and if he doesn't, Waiters will still be 6th man while someone else starts at the 3?

It's hard to say since I've never seen our Coach in action, but I'd assume he'll try starting all 3 as well as starting Dion off the bench. He'll want to experiment for himself.

Personally, I think he's more suited to play the two-guard spot right now with his side. I think he'll get pushed around a bit if he guards legit SFs in this league. He's got excellent length, height and wingspan, but he's only 200 pounds. I think he needs at least put on 15-20 pounds at minimum if he's going to play SF all the time.
His extreme athleticism and great length allows him to play and guard twos easily.

I don't think so. Griffin said this almost immediately after Wiggins was drafted.

I think you mean Griffin. Chris Grant was fired last season. Anyway if Bron really is coming back I would start Wiggins at SG, Waiters as the 6th man. But with all this talk of trading for Love I think Waiters might be gone. Sucks because I really like Dion. I'm curious to see how good this team could be with just LeBron added

Wiggins can easily lock down bigger players, hell, he used to match up against guys like Julius Randle in AAU ball.
I see Waiters on the way out, locking up Kyrie sealed his fate. He gets dealt with one of the fours for a missing piece, Bran or not, the Cavs are in the driver's seat now.
Irving-Wiggins-James-Bennett(or Thompson)-Verajao
That is an ECF starting line up for sure.

I love how so few people understand that positions are defensive. If it was offensive then lebron is a guard. Wiggins playing "sg" doesn't mean he would need to play any different then he would as a "sf" (esp w lebron) it would just mean he typically would cover someone smaller which will be good for him and give other teams tougher matchups defending the size
If Lebron goes to the cavs you would start wiggins at "sg" without a doubt. Waiters is better as a ball handler/creator/scorer as well.
There shouldn't even be a discussion when there's one way that uses them all best
