I remember him putting up all-star numbers a while ago, now he's just an awful contract that got amnestied. Wth happened to this guy?

He's still a decent rebounder and decent offensive player. He's past his prime now, but if you want a decent offense threat that plays bad interior defense, he's your man.

This last year, he spent a lot of 4th quarters on the sideline and in turn probably lost a bit of confidence.

He's still close to the player he was, but he outstayed his welcome in Chicago.

I was never a Boozer fan.. Watching him against the Lakers all those years he always seemed to be missing that internal fire... solid player but never felt he was willing to leave it on the floor... got the same feeling with Bynum early on, loads of talent but only used it to it's max when he felt motivated

The canned hair spray seeped into his brain.

teams might be able to play him like a Gortat if they ever go small.

he functions well in a system, I don't know why he would do this, but if he took like an MLE deal from the Blazers, or even if OKC.

it's a scary thought.

probably still could get paid with teams who are trying to develope players.

Same thing that happenedpto Deron Williams. That Utah/Sloan system is gone.

It was funny to listing to the media paint him as a "post presence " something he never was

Duke players are always like this. Remember Elton Brand?

If the Bulls don't land Melo, then they might trade Boozer to Philadelphia for Thaddeus Young.

I think that helps both teams

the rebounding might not be as good if they keep Dunleavy at the 3
but it'll help their guards.

are they still in the contention for Stephenson?

Session/Brooks/Morrow are all guards that can help the Bulls at reasonable values

Philadelphia would re-trade him or buy him out, but in 2015 the Sixers get another 9.5 million in cap space.

after reading thru these comments i'd say Boozer is very underrated.

dude has a really nice post game, and if he's on, he can drop 30+ any given night. he plays really strong and big too.

Thibs didn't like his D so he consistently benched him in 4th quarters and his play time was erratic. Thibs is that type of Nazi coach, but Boozer still has a lot of game. his numbers would've been a lot better on any other team last year imo.

He is the same guy he was 4 years ago. He will score points on the low block, grab you a good amount of boards, scream his head off like a maniac after a simple layup. But he never has and never will be a guy you want in the game when you need a stop.
