View Full Version : As a Cav fan I'm not sure I want LeBron

A lot of you guys here know me as a die-hard Cavaliers fan, pretty much the only real one here. As I lay here in sweet exctasy I ponder on if the return of the man who once broke our hearts is what's best for me. He hurt me. Bad. He ripped me open in more than one way, even if I somewhat enjoyed it I must say the wounds are beginning to heal. Acquiring Wiggins has brought a breath of fresh air into Cleveland, finally ousting the aroma of betrayal left by James.

Great player, yes. But not a great man.

And now I hear we are sacrificing Wiggins in order to bring in Love to appease the power hungry James. Is this not what got us here in the first place? LeBron craves power and control and we are giving him what he wants. We are bending over backwards and letting him enter whenever he wants and even finish. Disgusting.

I say to thee Cav fans, is the prodigal son returning not as good as everyone makes it out to be?

MJ wasn't a great man either. Neither is Kobe.

If you don't want LBJ on your team you're an idiot.

As a Heat fan, I say, you're correct.

And I'd also say you should take basketball less seriously :)

yeah, it's way better to win the lottery than having a winning record and making it to the playoffs and losing anyway

I would be pissed also if they got rid of Wiggins for Love to please Lebron. Lebron only has a few years left before his athleticism takes a major drop. His defense has already got worst.

its a possible Love rental too

I like NBA, and it'd be nice if my favorite team won a championship but i'm not willing to sell myself out taking back a egomaniac to do it. I really was hoping Gilbert was going to stick to some principles to deny him. it'd probably be the first time in lebron's life his ego got checked.

i give a lot of credit to CLE fans that are sticking to principles over a possible ring.

no, you're a idiot if you care THAT much about NBA to sell yourself out

and MJ was a much better person than Lebron in terms of NBA humbleness. Even Kobe is....nobody has ever come close to making a spectacle like the Decision. NOBODY. its dumb as shit people pretend that they were all like Lebron.

I read it like:

"As a Cav fan i'm not sure i want my team to be successful... ever... and Wiggins > Lebron"

That's funny, you said MJ and humbleness in the same sentence.:oldlol:

You're just projecting onto me all of the dumb crap you care about.

I don't care about any of their "humbleness" or anything. That stuff doesn't bother me. I just like watching good basketball. I don't pretend that any of these guys are saints. They're mostly all self-absorbed egomaniacs. It's always been that way. MJ was no exception.

so you don't think the Cav's will get any better without lebron? when they've been basically at the bottom for the last few years collecting picks, getting chemistry, and getting 1-5 positions strong?

last few years have been their low point, there is nowhere to go but up.

instant gratification selling out seems to be the basis of thought these days between players and fans :facepalm

Hes a terrible man. I heard he cheated multiple times on his wife, raped/choked a woman in a hotel room, gambles millions of dollars, punches teammates in practice, and is involved in gang activities... oh wait, thats 2 other all time great perimeter players.

Double standard newbs.

I'm 34, I'm sure I'm older than you son.:oldlol:

I idolized MJ before I found out the type of person he was. He was a dirtbag as a person. I can't take away anything from him on court, but he was a douchebag. If people are trying to use LBJ's off-court crap against him (the Decision was off-court), then MJ has a ton of it as well. Let's just be fair about it.

thats off the court. and really, most of it is stuff like cheating, gambliing, etc. which is stuff a lot of dudes do.

he punched Kerr or people at practice because dude was ultra competitive, lighting fires under peoples asses. even the people he punched respected him for it.

but as far as bball goes, MJ was as professional and loyal as they come. you sorry LBJ homers have no clue how shitty your boy is,.

I know. But even if he dont come back, I still be a Cavs fan.

Then we defently dont trade Wiggins and have a good young team.

Even if we get LeBron I dont hope we trade Wiggins.
He has potential.

Cavs fan here,

Don't want him back either, I will be especially pissed if we trade Wiggins Bennett or Waiters.

I want to see what this team can do without Lebron.

Maybe YOU care too much about NBA if you think you are "selling yourself out" because you watch some guy you don't know play hoops.
