Would you look at that.

The Cavs are interested in all the Heat role players(probably Birdman too.)

But yet no Dwyane Wade on the list. Funny how this "superstar" free agent has gotten absolutely ZERO interest from ANY NBA teams outside Miami.

Here is a newsflash for you kids that want to play basketball at a moderately high level.

Unless you are 7 feet tall or an all-time great franchise level player talent, you better be able to shoot threes at a decent rate. Otherwise you are a liability. Shooting is the most important skill in basketball.

Except Wade is an all-time great franchise player. His body is broken down, and yes he isn't a great shooter to compensate for it. Doesn't change the fact he one of the game's all-time best shooting guards. Miraculously while still not being a great shooter. That's quite a feat.

wade is just an embarassment, a decade into the league and never shot over 80% in free throw percentages even ONCE

and they compared him to COLBY!?!

Has a team with that guy starting ever even won a playoff series?

In the modern NBA that does not translate to wins. You need to be able to shoot threes.

Yes Wade was useful when his natural athletisicm allowed him to be a franchise player. As I have stated before unless your 7 feet tall or an all-time great franchise player(and playing like one) you need to be able to shoot threes. What Wade is now is an Evan Turner.

he is an absolutely useless NBA piece. Has literally no effect on winning. The Heat would win the same amount of games next year without him as with him.

If the Heat wanted to put together a much improved team they'd use the 10+ million they'd use on Wade to get role players that can actually help the team. A 7 foot rim protector for one would be nice.

This. Miami is ****ing themselves up because of the loyalty crap. Wade is worth 6-7 M at best right now. He is a bench player at this point of his career.

No, you're focus on Wade ... among other Kobe stans has always come from an insecurity place.

The fact they basically did the same things with supporting cast. When healthy both were elite MVP 2-way caliber players.

Kobe has his 2003, 2006 season, but Wade's peak of 2009 is arguably better. The insecurity with you Kobe stans and Wade runs deep.

19 ppg on 55% in 33 MPG is apparently a bench player. You idiots never cease to amaze me.

Why would the Cavs, or any team for that matter, show interest in Wade while everyone knows he'll stay in Miami no matter what? It's like saying no one showed interest in Dirk so he had to settle for a 10M/yr contract with Dallas.

19 ppg on 55 % when he played part-time and when he killed the chemistry with his vacations after every 2 games. His stats would have been worse if he played the whole year. They rested him the whole year so he could be fresh for the finals and when the finals came, he looked older than Duncan. That guy is done.

Different issue though. Miami was deliberately saving him for the playoffs given the health of his knees. They were so stacked, and played in such a WEAK conference they were afforded this luxury.

I'm not arguing Wade's current state of health. But he isn't a bench player. He'd be awesome in that Ginobili role, but I think sitting out so many games waiting for the playoffs actually hurt his game, rhythm and rapport with the team.

In 2013, they rested him less and he still looked bad in the playoffs. In 2014, they tried to rest him more and again, he looked bad. That guy is done. There s nothing you can do about it. Rest or no rest, he wont play consistently well in the playoffs.
Next year, he will older and worse.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with Wade being too expensive. Let's go with the OP's agenda, instead.

anyone will concede Wade had a good regular season in 2009, whether it topped Kobe's 2006/2007 or 2003 depends on your prejudices regarding efficiency vs versatility and impact. but why does Wade's singular season get so much acclaim? guys like Iverson, Tracy McGrady, even Gilbert Arenas have all had one or two season of similar level play. the fact of the matter is Wade is closer to those guys than he is to Kobe
