Meh if they have Bosh, healthy, and Wade motivated. That team just like the MJ less Bulls in 1994 could have enough esteem to push 45 - 55 wins with people sleeping on them. Wade, and Bosh is enough to get to the second round too.

No one slept on the 94' Bulls and :lol the MJ fan agenda to always claim that. They were at or near the top of the standings from December until the end of the regular season, including being in 1st at the all-star break. Only injuries kept them from finishing with the #1 seed.
There is a massive difference between 45 wins and 55 wins. The Heat won 54 games with LeBron last year. Wade is no longer a superstar and Bosh never was. LeBron should leave to eliminate the "he won with a STACKED team" talk as Miami is revealed to be a 0.500 team without him.
2nd round in '04, ECF in '05, and won the Finals in '06.
Shaq. I meant their performance level in the years immediately preceding LeBron's arrival. They were good when Shaq was there and during the Mourning/Hardaway period but were an average team in 2009 and 2010--and were atrocious in 2008.

If Lebron goes to the Cavs, then Bosh will head to the Rockets. So Miami would be left with Wade, and he can't carry the team for a whole season with his knees in their current state. Miami would be in rebuild mode, and down among the lottery teams. Would be more like the 08 Heat than the 94 Bulls.

Miami has been Wade's team since his rookie year. It was NEVER Shaq's team and Shaq was never the best player on the Heat. Remember what happened on the ECF once Wade got injured?

Yes they did. You seriously think teams, analysts expected they'd maintain championship level expectations?
That's one of the reasons for their motivation, and moderate success that season.
Only difference here is Wade isn't in the prime of his career like Pippen was at the time. And Bosh most likely leaves, and he isn't too healthy either. So he doesn't have an exceptional supporting cast.
Unlike Chalmers has an all star season like BJ that year, and the Heat get some other PF who has an all star season like Horace did that year.

Shaq turned Miami into contenders and should have been MVP in 05'. He was still the best center and a top 10 player in 2006. Once he stopped being a top player, Miami fizzled and either missed the playoffs or lost in the first round every year from 2007-2010. Yeah, Wade was better than Shaq in 2006--but Wade was nowhere to be seen after Shaq declined. Shaq deserves a lot of credit for what happened in 2005 and 2006.
:lol at SS's MJ agenda. Anybody could see the standings or what happened on the court. The Bulls were viewed as contenders after Pippen returned. When teams slept on them early Pippen was out, their schedule was soft and they sucked anyway. They were right in the mix by Christmas and remained there. No one was dumb enough to think they were a fluke. They had a better record against the top teams than the Knicks did. The MJ stan theory would have some credence if the Bulls started out hot and then cooled off, a la the 2013 Knicks, but they actually started 4-7 due to Pip's injury and then remained consistent the rest of the way.

Wade was near his level in 2005 regular season, by the post season he was clearly the better player. Don't be disingenuous. Wade was injured second half of 2007 until the start of 2009 season. By that point their roster was horrendous, clearing cap space for summer 2010.

I am not denigrating Wade's peak years. I am just noting Shaq was instrumental in that team's success. It is no coincidence the team fell into oblivion as soon as Shaq ceased to be a top player.

Without Bron, the Heat could bring in Bledsoe or Stephenson or Ariza. Maybe even Deng.
The team is well coached and flexible. Wade would take over primary ball-handling duties, or a facilitator role like Bron.
They would still be a top4 team in the East.
Also, they are rumored to get Okafor on the cheap

Of course Shaq was instrumental. It's a TEAM GAME. And the team fell in oblivion because the entire team was old as shit outside of Wade(not to mention Wade tore his shoulder in 2007).

Idiot post. Shaq was good, but not better than Wade in '05. Shaq has a case for being better in the RS, but in the Playoffs it was all Wade. 24/5/7/2/1 in the RS and 27/6/7/2/1 in the Playoffs. Heck he made the All-NBA and All-Defensive teams as well.
