Does it help if you think of her as a professional "entertainer" instead of "singer"? I think she blew up more for being hot after being on MMC than actually being a talented singer.

i think you should be better than that when you've done it so much. I know she wasn't really a vocalist from the start, but she's made how many songs? you'd think at this point you've done it so much, practiced it so much, there would be a lot better tone.

Never heard the actual song, but yeah pretty sure they purposefully sing off key when using auto tune.

This x1000. That's what people don't understand about the entertainment industry- it's not always about talent. Britney was plugged into the system early in life when she became a member of the Mickey Mouse Club (no coincidence that many of them blew up, ie, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera, etc).

She knew all the right people in power from an early age and they molded her into a money making machine. They couldn't give 2 shits if she could sing or not.
