View Full Version : Kobe should request trade to the Knicks
Since Melo is re-signing with the Knicks Kobe is stuck. Maybe Kobe should request a trade to the Knicks.
Kobe for Amare(expiring) and Lakers absorb Bargnani in order to meet minimum salary cap requirements. This would give the Knicks the cap space to sign Pau. Kobe and Pau could reunite with Phil, Fisher, Odom, and Shannon Brown.

Pretty much but they are in the East so it will be good enough for a top 4 seed.

Kobe's ego is too large to ever do something like this but nice try.

they'd be doing the Lakers a huge favor. Kobe is holding the Lakers hostage until he retires.

This.
I mentioned trading him to the Knicks on Lakersground a few months ago, and I nearly got ran out of the joint, lol. I think now people are finally coming around to the idea (especially if Kobe gives the greenlight).

How is he doing that? Did he put a gun to Mitch's head and told to sign him or else?

well he has to know his salary is eating up any help he might get...
Kobe's a smart dude.
his actions speak louder than his words in terms of self over the Lakers and winning.
you just can't keep blaming Mitch and the Lakers for paying someone like Kobe that much for all he's done for the Lakers, but you can blame Kobe for not offering to do what Duncan did. especially when he bitches about not having help....again actions speak louder than words.

Lakers have to go for full tank mode next year. Kobe probably doesn't want to finish his career playing with scrubs. This trade would be in the best interest of both parties. The east is weak so maybe the old but experienced knicks can upset the young stacked but inexperienced cavs in the ECF and Kobe can have another chance to murk the Spurs.
